They had been gone for an exhausting week, everyone else had fallen asleep on the plane, save for Hotch who never seemed to rest, but Ava was kept awake. Even with Sarah leaning into her, Ava felt on edge; the only thing on her mind was the cases they closed but lives they couldn’t save.
Sarah had been there to see Ava’s breakdown, in a conference room in some Wyoming police station as she stared at the board of victims: girls between the ages of 4 and 6, and it was clear the unsub had a particular type in terms of blonde hair and pale eyes. Sarah connected the dots almost immediately, making a mental note to call Penelope for a favour, but at the time all she could do was pull Ava in for a hug and promise things would be okay.
Ava had no idea why Sarah was dragging her to the BAU bullpen when they were supposed to be going home, but she didn’t expect to turn a corner and see a flash of blonde braids as a tiny body collided with Ava’s.
“Mummy,” she mumbled into Ava’s hip, “Auntie Penny said you’re home.”
Ava almost sobbed as she knelt down to pull her daughter into a proper hug, holding her as if her livelihood depended on it, “I am, I’m home, Honeybee.”

- logan and roman like to spar with each other! it’s not a serious thing, it helps keep their skills fresh, but they do have a very competitive nature and they keep tallies. currently, they’re tied, but they’re going to determine who’s better once and for all one of these god damn days
- they play videogames together! not competitively, more multiplayer co-operatives. they love stardew valley; roman always marries a villager while they work on building up their farm and gathering resources and then dramatically divorces them for logan, who refuses to help with the children
- roman loves to experiment with makeup. sometimes, he’ll have logan sit and be his canvas so he can try out new techniques. he has to be mindful what he does, because logan is sensitive to things on his face, but he’s happy to sit and let roman do what he wishes

- they like to go mini-golfing! they both suck at it, but it’s less about the competition and more about doing things together. patton dresses like the Most Embarrassing Dad and virgil both loves and hates him for it
- face masks! patton has a shit ton, so they’ll put them on and do self-care days with relaxing music and wine. they like to watch shitty reality tv and smack talk the poor editing and the asshole contestants, because virgil is a shady gay and patton loves him
- they like to bake together! they experiment with bread and pastry and all kinds of intricate desserts. they foist what they won’t eat themself off onto roman and logan; roman usually eats them all, but logan will occasionally have nibbles.

But the one that got away, the so-called “Angel of Death,” had always eluded them.
Dean’s family had been killed by the Angel of Death when she was 11. The killer had left her alive.
Sam’s parents were murdered by the Angel of Death when she was 7. Her infant brother had never been found.
Every lead went cold. Every suspect had an alibi. It was almost as if the killer wasn’t even human.

@em-be-lievable’s Dragon Witch AU. This is so good. There’s so much representation and I love it. From Trans!Deceit to Genderfluid!Emilie. I live for established RomanxPattonxLogan pinning after Virgil. The character arcs and designs are amazing. I love these disaster gays. Everyone is a mess but together they work well.
Also @em-be-lievable’s Four Horsemen Au. I just love these boys so much. Their designs are so perfect for them. They are so angry and vengeful. I love it. I love Em’s telling of this. Growing up by grandparents in an EXTREMELY Christian home, I’ve heard the version in the Bible a million times. I just love the different take on it. It’s a good change. I stan a Punkle that is also a Unicorn Dragon Witch Pirate.
@justisaisfine’s Sanders Bros AU. I love everything single thing about this AU. I love all the feels it gives me, good and bad. I have cried over things in this, like seriously cried. I definitely didn’t cry at Dee telling Patton his name or at Remy’s confession. I just love these boys and really want them to be happy. Also I have started saying the “I’m telling you three times” thing from this to calm my anxiety. I stan this awesome artist and content creator.

@sanders-creatures-au Another fantasy AU I ABSOLUTELY love!! It’s still fairly new but it’s still amazing. It’s a mythology mash-up. Cervitaur!Patton, Harpy!Virgil, Mer/Undine!Logan, and Siren!Roman. It fits them. All of their designs are amazing, even though we haven’t see Ro’s yet. I stan the awesome content creator behind this.
@residentanchor‘s powers AU, A Lesson in Practicality. The story is so GOOD!! The dialoge and dynamics between everyone is so well writen. Their powers fit them so well. Patton making copies of himself and being an empath works so well. Logan being a mind reader and have telekenisis is so him. Roman basically being a human battery and magnet so quite shocking. Virgil controlling time is amazing. Also, @robinsdraw animated part of it and they LOOK SO STINKING GOOD!! I stan this Celery.

I will how ever complement the VAs (voice actors). I’ve only heard Roman’s and Logan’s (@socially-awkward-noodle and @jesuisfabulous respectively), but them are amazing.

It would be Eruri/Mikannie. Levi and Mikasa are related and live together. They’re practically siblings and, incidentally, also find out they are both killers for hire. Erwin and Annie work in the FBI set to investigate the bodies piling up in the city of Paradise. One thing leads to another…the stories diverge but end up meeting in the middle. Erwin finds himself falling for a man he’s supposed to arrest. Annie finds herself in a somewhat similar situation, yet it begins differently. Both Ackermans are forced to confront their trust issues, and realize that maybe they don’t only have each other in this cruel world.
