Bandai America Shows Off Tamagotchi On Fantasy Version At New York Toy Fair 2020!

WHAT! Well it appears that what you’ve been wanting for many years is finally happening. Bandai America was showing off the upcoming Tamagotchi On Fantasy Version this past week at the 2020 New York Toy Fair! Why would Bandai America bring an unannounced and unreleased device to the toy fair? Well keep in mind the toy fair is not for the general public, its for toy manufacturers, and retailers, and limited press participants.
Bandai America was not hiding it though, if you look closely in the photo that we’ve posted of the Tamagotchi on section of the Bandai America booth you can see the beautiful Tamagotchi On Fantasy Version available in both the purple and blue colors. The Tamagotchi On boxes look almost identical with the exception of some fantasy characters, and you can see that the sticker in the upper right-hand corner reads “Fantasy” and features an image of Yumemi Alice, one of the Fantasy Version exclusive characters.
Information is extremely limited as Bandai America has not announced the device, but they were actively showing it off to toy fair participants. The sign besides the device reads “NO PHOTOGRAPHY”, so that explains why images are so hard to come across. We would imagine if Bandai America were to release this version it would have similar pricing of the Tamagotchi On device and availability later this summer for the fall lineup. This would align perfectly with the information previously provided about some Tamagotchi On news for the fall provided by the director of marketing.
