I feel as though there's a giant sense of entitlement going on... I don't know what it is... maybe social media and fans can have these instant connections to celebrities so they feel like they are closer to them and are owed things they aren't??
Remember back in the day when there weren't smart phones and social media? To see someone's picture or video of Idina we'd have to wait for them to get home and upload it and then if it was an audio or video recording, they'd have to hide it and you'd have to ask them personally to see it, or trade them something for it? It really made you appreciate things. If SB was around still, I think this would have been straightened out before it started.
Two things that really bug me about this....
1. Opinions. It's fine to have an opinion, it's ok to say you're hurt... those are your feelings. The thing about feelings is that they belong to you, you can feel whatever you want to. No one can say your feelings are wrong. However, if you want to share yours and have people hear you, you better be damn well prepared to hear someone else's. Even if you don't like, if you want to share your ideas - be prepared to listen to other people's. Don't just ignore them or keep saying how wrong other's ideas are. In their eyes your idea might be as wrong as you think theirs is.
2. Comparing. Stop comparing Idina to everyone else. Do your teachers at school or your parents do that to you? Do they think that because Timmy can write an A+ essay everyone can? Do they think that because your brother is the best goalie on his hockey team, you should be too? Do they think that because one person can tap dance, everyone can? NO! You'd be so pissed if people started wanting you to be like other people. So don't do it to Idina. Just because LaChanze and James do something, doesn't mean she should. Old analogy... if James jumped off a building, would you want Idina to? (Yes that's stupid... but think about it for a minute)
Stage Doors are a great thing, lots of fun I enjoy doing it and meeting people after the show. But it is not in anyone's contract to do it. I don't like it when people ask me to do things that aren't in my job description. Whatever the reason she's not doing it, we should respect that. It's none of our business!!! And if she's making an effort to go out other doors and sneak away, she clearly doesn't want engage with fans so leave her alone and respect her privacy.
This is way longer than I expected... This is my opinion.. you don't have to like it or agree with it - but respect that these are my ideas
I'm literally just so obsessed.
FANZELS TELL ME IDINA IS BROADWAY'S QUEEN BC I NEED AFFIRMATION. I mean SHE IS THE QUEEN. Like, Queen Elizabeth only singing with green skin and a black hat. Sometimes she makes you moo.
BREAKING NEWS, FANZELS!
BEWARE
This sounds like an amazing idea!
MERRY CHRISTMAS, FANZELS!
