Half Marathon in two days!
On Saturday, starting at 7:30 AM I'm going to try running 13.1 miles. It should be pretty achievable and it's going to be fun!
Today as I was running through a park this 13 year old girl ran out to me and handed me a water bottle from her family's fiesta and was like 'we have extras!' and it was so great and refreshing and gave me extra faith in humanity and people from Fargo. I just imagine the whole marathon is going to be like that. Plus I picked up my packet today and a bunch of samples from the health food places so it's going to be pretty cool.
Yeah. Running.
Suppose next year I do the full marathon. JUST SUPPOSE.

We made it to Fargo. The forecast for Saturday is a high of 70, with thunderstorms… It’s totally okay to blame why I won’t PR on the weather, not my lack of training, right?

I feel like I am serious now. Seriously into this running business.
It wasn't the most fun. BUT IT WAS NOT THE WORST.

Fargo...Not just a town in North Dakota
I've never seen the movie. I think I may have tried but it was too terrible to sit through. I don't really care for Walter Mathieu or whoever that is.
So today, I had 8 miles on the plan. I woke up, in time, and decided I didn't feel like it. So I told myself 5. But that didn't sound right either. So I told myself I'd PR my 5K time.
And that I did.
28:54! SOLIDLY in the 20 minute time span. Like...that's not even a fluke, or I had to scrape to be under 30. That was a planned under 30. High five. I'd show you my beautiful stats (mile 2 at 9:08!) but I can't open my garmin account at work.
Tomorrow is going to be hopefully sunbathing and running 5 miles of intervals at my lake. It's amazing what a little Vitamin D does.
