9 total miles. (With a 5k race in the middle.) I also walked 2.5 miles and worked a 6 hour shift at the nyc marathon expo. Man are my legs shot. I am gonna be feeling this tomorrow.

Marathon Training week 1
So week 1 of training for the Disney Marathon is over. Man was it hard. Day one was hills and I was unable to complete the work out. I think I just psyched myself out when I got uncomfortable and convinced myself I could not do it.
But I gave myself an extra rest day and did my cross training. Today, despite my blisters, I did my 5 mile long run. Definitely went out too fast, but I’m working on that.
I’m so happy I got a coach because she is slowly helping me realize that I am physically capable, that I just psych myself out.
On to the next week.
1 easy mile just to get the legs moving. Except it was super hard because it is so hot and humid I can barely breathe. It feels like something is blocking the air. This is why I don’t go outside during the summer.
Officially registered for the Disney marathon. I won’t be running Toronto because my mother ended up unavailable the weekend. But now I have more time to train. I hired a coach and we are gonna backtrack and do some base building, which I am pumped about.
Toronto Training 7/30/18
Yesterday I ran 2.75 miles. I did a run/walk by feel. I have decided that this cycle will be all about training by feel rather than pushing myself to my limits.
I also made a little friend on the trail.
So cute.
I did try and post this yesterday but the mobile app is dumb and wouldn’t let me.
Another week and other PT selfie. And so so ready to get back to working out tomorrow. I really needed this break. I feel so much better. The next month will be full of no pressure workouts. Doing what I want when I want.
3/20/18
So I have been really working on my form. Trying to drive from my glutes and not my calves. I definitely feel that I am moving faster. Actually I feel that I have an issue going a slower pace. And that is a problem because I am getting tired faster. Today I did 1.5 miles at a 11:07 pace. I was planning on a fartleks workout 1 mile warmup, 1 mile fartlek, and one mile cooldown. But instead of doing an easy 12:35 mile warm up I ended up clocking a 10:25. So I only made it through half a mile of the fartlek. I was just so damm tired.
I need to work on having good form while keeping a reasonable pace.
Toronto Waterfront Marathon Plan and some life shit
I officially wrote out a plan for Toronto. It involves a lot of cross training. I’m really happy with it and think it will really work for me.
And if anyone needs a FALL MARATHON COME RUN TORONTO WITH ME. CAUSE I WANNA MEET UP WITH PEOPLE AND NOT GO ALONG.
ok. Peer pressure time is over:)
Oh, and I did 3 miles today. Which is a lot when you are in a depressive episode. I’m gonna do my first spin class tomorrow with a friend. I’m hoping it will make me feel a bit better.
I am also going to see my psychiatrist on Monday and am gonna ask about upping my meds. Cause I think I need it.
Idk. Mental illness sucks.
