Okay so I know we all hate the farmer Lance ending to Voltron cuz wtf ya know BUT HEAR ME OUT
Stardew Valley Au where Lance inherits his great uncle’s farm in Pelican Town after struggling with finding his path in life, moving to the town to find that there’s more to the town than meets the eye.
Keith who grew up there with his late father. He kinda takes on a bit of Abigail’s adventurous spirit who had roamed the previously abandoned farm, exploring the monster infested mines, mixed with Sebastian’s antisocial reclusive attitude.
There’s Shiro and Adam, Shiro just returning home and having to learn to cope with his ptsd from being a prisoner of war.
You can have the Holts as a the science family up in the mountains.
Hunk, chef extraordinaire, and Shay running the saloon.
Coran taking on the role of the wizard, knowing everything mystical in nature and living in the tower castle.
And Allura and Romelle being roommates as Emily and Haley.
The blade of mamora as the adventurers guild.
And of course, the mice running the hat shop.
👀 👀 👀
As for the rest of the Stardew npcs I have no idea 💀
But the farm can be either the beach farm (cuz Lance and the ocean) OR the wilderness farm (cuz monsters and Keith).
okay klance au time
(i don’t think it counts as an au, because it’s not changing canon, its just something that could happen after canon)
warning this is long and hard to understand i cant be bothered. u either get it or you dont.
Lance: Keith and I decided to try degradation in bed.
Lance: It was going well until he brought up the time I became a farmer on impulse.
Lance: That was just mean.
Can we get like fully stereotyped cowboy Keith and farmer Lance?
Hi Lance. Part 1. Part 2!
Yes they got iPhones in space, fight me.
I know yall er mad about farmer Lance but hear me out
Consider Lance's character: He loves his family and missed earth more than anyone else. In addition to this, we can see how tired he is in S8.
Now, he wanted to be a pilot, this is true. He wanted to explore the universe and he has. He has explored it, died, seen friends die, seen entire worlds destroyed, and got betrayed and ridiculed.
Why, especially after becoming a widower(k they're not married I get, don't care rn) why would he wanted to be anywhere but with his family?
He loves his Voltron family, sure, but they can take care of themselves. How terrified must he have been when he realized earth was taken over? That he might have lost his family?
Honestly what I'm trying to say is that maybe Lance wasn't made to be great beyond Voltron and I think that's okay. We know, he knows, everyone knows he has the ability to be, but... I think his choice of living a quiet life while spreading peace every once in a while is so in-character it hurts.
When has Lance ever wanted anything but the people he loves to be happy and safe? Thw only thing he has ever wanted for himself was to be a good pilot and damn, he is. But he never wanted anything other than that.
He didn't want to be a representative. He didn't want to be some intergalactic peace bringer like Keith.
Keith and Shiro have no family other than eachother: it's easy for them to do things away from earth because they have little there.
Lance and Pidge decided to stay on earth because they spent their teens in space and want to be with their family.
So, like, Lance's choice makes sense and he's happy so whyre yall mad?
Not everyone, in any reality, is made to be great and live their lives doing great things. Others, like Keith, want to continue their work but Lance doesn't want to and that's fine?
Also, notice the difference in both Lance and Keith's personalities. At the beginning, Keith didn't want to do anything for anyone but himself and Shiro. He didn't even really want to be a pilot after Shiro disappeared. Lance did.
Now, they've changed and grown up and realized what they really want to spend their lives doing and what's so wrong about that?
Yall call Lance a dedicated family man and think it's cute but get mad when he pursues that character?
Anyway, that's just my thought.
