সাত মাস পর মুক্ত পিতা গেলেন বন্দি ছেলের কাছে

  বিশেষ সংবাদদাতা : সাত মাস পরে বন্দিদশা থেকে মুক্তি পেয়ে ৮৩ বছরের ফারুক আবদুল্লা শনিবার শ্রীনগরের কাছে হরিনিবাসে গিয়ে দেখা করলেন। পিতা ও পুত্র কুশল বিনিময় করেন। ছেলের সঙ্গে দেখা করার আগে ফারুক তাঁর বাবা শেখ আবদুল্লার কবরস্থানে গিয়ে শ্রদ্ধা জানান।

ফারুককে জন নিরাপত্তা আইনে গ্রেফতার করে গত সাত মাস আটক রাখা হয়। গতকাল তাঁকে মুক্তি দেওয়া হয়। তিনি জম্মু-কাশ্মীর প্রশাসনকে অনুরোধ করেন ছেলেকে দেখতে যাওয়ার। প্রশাসন আজ তাঁকে নিয়ে যাওয়ার ব্যবস্থা করে। ফারুক তাঁর স্ত্রী মলি ও নাতিকে সঙ্গে নিয়ে যান। ওমরকে জন নিরাপত্তা আইনে আটক রাখা হয়েছে গত  ৫ অগাস্ট থেকে। কাশ্মীরে ৩৭০ ধারা তুলে নেওয়ার পর অশান্তির আশঙ্কায় রাজ্যের নেতাদের আটক করে রাখা হয়।

ফারক জানান ধৃত নেতাদের মুক্ত করা হলেই প্রকৃত স্বাধীন বলে মনে করবেন। ওমর ছাড়াও মেহবুবা মুফতি সহ শতাধিক নেতার মুক্তির দাবিতে আটটি বিরোধী দল প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদিকে চিঠি দিয়েছে। কংগ্রেস নেতা গুলাম নবি আজাদ এদিন মুক্ত ফারুকের সঙ্গে দেখা করেন। সাংবাদিকদের তিনি বলেন, এখনও তিনি জানেন না কেন তাঁকে গ্রেফতার করা হয়েছিল।
