in my opinion Bartimaeus x Farqual is such funny ship because it’s like they both have 15 billion buckets of angst but Farqual then just turned that into “I don’t LIKE him but I am going to constantly try to show him the truth at every opportunity and protect him and help him despite how much of a pain he is but it’s ALL just Part Of The Plan I don’t wish he was here at all” whereas Bartimaeus is just like (sets you on fire. Sets you on fire. Sets you on fire. Sets y-).

and it all comes together to make for some of the funniest and most interesting scenes in a VERY FUNNY and EXTREMELY INTERESTING series, which is really saying something.

Never canonically stated what Farqual looks like other than "lots of tentacles" which leads me to believe he's just an orb of tentacles with a mouth maybe. Perhaps an eye

Guys I finished the Bartimaeus trilogy last night and...wow

I mean I didn't read the prequel but omg

Think I'm gonna do a bit of a review later, since I gotta tell someone about my amazement and sadness and exploded brain

Farqual wasn't a sly old equivocator like Tchue; he prided himself on blunt speaking. Mind you, he did have a weakness for boasting. If you believed all his stories, you'd have thought him responsible for most of the world's major landmarks as well as being adviser and confidant to all the most notable magicians. This, as I once remarked to Solomon, was a quite ridiculous claim.

Day 4: Describe your dragon!

His name is Farqual, and while I change his element all the time I'm pretty set on darkness as his main. I change his colouring all the time too, and it usually wavers from reddish-toned sand dragon to goth.
