Rekhyt was a Pavoni sorcerer, later of the Cult of Knowledge.

Set on a path to rediscover lost wisdom and Rubrics, he and his warband were mostly ambivalent to the imperium, hostile to needlessly destructive groups and eventually broke off to form a small neutral enclave.

Thought I'd work on my Tson Oc and then immediately turn him into a chaos spawn, not even a birdy one at that. 🐦

So I was reading this article and found this quote?????

‘Additionally, inscriptions on Hatshepsut’s monuments make greater use of the “rekhyt,” a marsh bird hieroglyphic representing “the common people,” than any other pharaoh in her dynasty, according to Kenneth Griffin of Swansea University.’

I’m pretty sure the Bartimaeus books always told us that the rekhyt represented slavery, but this is also a really symbolically interesting take on it
