Tbh, if you/people are down for it, I could take a shot at a Stacy-centric song. I hope it wasn’t too presumptuous of me to make that addition to your post in jest but in all seriousness if you want me to do it, I can give it a try
Okay okay so I have to say, in all seriousness, I would actually love to see a version of the song if you feel up to it (I was also largely joking in my response, I apologize that that wasn't clear, but I would in fact, love to see a take on the song. That would make my entire decade.)
I hadn't initially planned on responding to anything that got added to the post, but the fact you brought up "Jesse's Girl" is what caught my attention, and not in a bad way!
To explain, years ago, I often heard the songs played back-to-back on a mixed radio station, and eventually it led me to realize "Jesse's Girl" and "Stacy's Mom" could potentially be the same person. Both are nameless women who are the subject of a song (though not who it's being sung to) and the only things we know about either are that they are attractive and what their relationship is to someone else. Plus, the time frames of the songs can easily line up and be about the same woman, just at different life stages (and still attractive and sought after by someone who is only a bit of a short distance from them, so to speak!)
So to think of instead shaking that up and making a song that keeps some of the elements of "Jesse's Girl" but follows the flow of "Stacy's Mom" is actually potentially cool! I mean, I know I'm biased, I've always thought the songs are kind of spiritually connected in a way? I think my only stipulation about a parody song for Stacy herself is that she's both the subject and also the one the song is being sung to/the POV? For real though, don't feel like you have to! It's cool to hear from you though, and the follow wasn't what I was expecting but it's a power move I respect! I'll follow you back, and let me know if you need me to tag anything specific~
