Who are you, kind stranger, whom hast delivered unto me all the validation i have ever wanted on a fanfiction made so many years hence, on a platform i was not wise enough to know to avoid? Thou hast left me with no name by which to call you, but thou art, being the only reviewer ever to lay such a comment at this altar of prose, a true paragon. Bless you.

Other people may see thirteen-year-old Marcus Kanenas as an outcast and a nobody, but he sees himself as a survivor and a dreamer. In fact, his favorite dream is of a world far away, a world where magic is as common as air, where animals tell jokes, and where trees beg people to pick their fruit. He even has a name for this place-Farworld. When Marcus magically travels to Farworld, he meets Kyja, a girl without magic in a world where spells, charms, and potions are everywhere, and Master Therapass, a master wizard who has kept a secret hidden for thirteen years, a secret that could change the fate of two worlds. But the Dark Circle has learned of Master Therapass's secret and their evil influence and power are growing. Farworld's only hope is for Marcus and Kyja to find the mythical Elements-water, land, air, and fire-and convince them to open a drift between the worlds. As Kyja and Marcus travel to Water Keep, they must face the worst the evil Dark Circle can throw at them-Summoners, who can command the living and the dead; Unmakers, invisible creatures that can destroy both body and soul; and dark mages known as Thrathkin S'Bae. Along the way, Marcus and Kyja will discover the truth about their own heritage, strength of their friendship, and the depths of their unique powers.
Review
Just finished reading this and I enjoyed this book immensely. A gripping story with underdogs, magic, fantasy, and evil creatures from unkown origins. There were a few inconsistencies throughout the book, but the were minor enough it wasn't impactful to the story line. And the characters! Savage has created well'roundd characters. He understands exactly how they talk and act, it just pulls you into the story even more.
4 out of 5 stars.

I still need number four, which is difficult when the only shop you've ever seen sell these is Desert Book
Also, I won’t be seeing anyone for a while. Appointments with yours truly are only to be made under the most pressing of emergencies, please and thank you.
I’d say that I believe I have confirmation of life on other worlds, in a matter that would shock and astound humanity and, indeed, the world as we know it. Sadly, the fact of the matter is that there are enough supernatural and extraterrestrial individuals living among us that I can’t imagine the announcement would be met with any significant surprise.
Honestly, non-human sentient life was more of an inevitability than anything, and quite frankly there is mounting evidence that we’re not even the only sentient life native to Earth itself. So, really, this shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone.

The day had been hectic, being awoken from her rest by the constant buzz leaving and then having to re-collect dangerous ghosts that had scattered as far as Minnesota once the opportunity presented itself. A loud WHACK once she’d confirmed the news Arianna had broken earlier meant only that her housemate was incredibly upset.
That was, obviously, the understatement of the century. At her friend’s request Aradia had the kettle on and while the water was boiling had collected the first aid kit from the cabinet in the main floor washroom, then ascended several flights of stairs with tea to the room Kurloz inhabited, knocking gently with her elbow before letting herself in.
The consequences of the noise she’d heard became readily apparent and the ghost just blinked her red-and-black eyes in bemusement at the fallen wall before setting the tray with the tea down on a small table in the middle of the room.
“Come sit so I can bandage you,” she said, sitting down herself nearby and then opening the first aid kit in her lap, drawing out the bandages. “Then we can talk.”
Rose’s blog entry, day 3 of what I have decided to entitle the Macroscope Affair.
I am beyond a shadow of a doubt that the recent medical mutilations are being done by an exact, calculated hand for the purpose of scientific harvest. They are too precise, too clean, and too good to leave knowing witnesses, whoever these mysterious malefactors might be. It seems as though they’re gathering a complete collection of local fauna, and while they appear to recognize humanity as ‘above’ wildlife, the fact remains that I’ve seen evidence of harvest of nearly every species in the area. They do not seem interested in targeting the same species more than four times, and have recently refined their approach to include two of each gender with every new iteration of internal harvest. This, to me, is somewhat intriguing, as early incidents seemed to be less acutely aware of sexual dimorphism in species. Perhaps these are some new, sinister branch of alien? Seems unlikely, but not implausible.
Furthermore, my studies on those citizens who have been affected are starting to show something of a pattern; while those individuals responsible for recent attacks still seem to prey upon the destitute and the homeless, there seems to be an emerging attempt to reap from various ages and ethnicities. This worries me particularly, as they may start moving up the social ladder in some morbid display of curiosity. The alternative is that they grow weary of tissue samples and injecting what I presume to be tracer implants, and begin harvesting human beings when they think they will not be missed. I’m fairly certain that there are a few people who fall under such a category, and while I’m not fond of them, let it never be said that I would ever turn a blind eye to the suffering of another human being.
I’m probably going to have to bring my findings - and the one device I’ve managed to remove unharmed - to the attention of the Strider household. I need eyes on this with significantly more electronics expertise than mine.
