Krailert and Naran angst hits different. They're so complicated and feel very fresh in bl. In a less intense bl, they would've gotten to an understanding/agreement by now. Instead they've actually been drifting more apart. They're both enemies and not. They love each other so much, but are quite literally on opposite sides this very intense very real political turmoil. They're also very different people when it comes to facing risk.
Naran very much is a "willing to die for the cause" kind of guy. He straight up says "arrest me now while you're here!". He prioritizes the truth and if that happens to harm someone he cares about bc they did something, he doesn't care (will be sad while doing it). I think he also has less to lose and is already on the opposing side as a political journalist.
Krailert prioritizes protecting people he loves. He already lost his old bf. I don't know if his heart could handle losing Trin or Naran. He already probably has crazy depression from being stuck in a shit marriage and position. He will try to help other if he sees possible, but if it jeopardizes his ability to protect his loved ones he won't.
I just really need them to talk this out. Not even to agree bc Naran won't back down and Lert is too traumatized. But for understanding. Especially so Naran understands Lert better. Cause Naran already put everything out there, but Krailert is hiding so much.
