i think something that people who arent as much in his business as me dont realize about life in smokey blue is there is no one more excited for it than takeda kohei (guy playing sakutaro) himself

for those who dont follow him or the official account on twitter, he:

-has changed his pfp to his character on Most major platforms. his costar did not do this

-posted almost nothing but it since it was announced (with an exception to shout out one other show he has a bit role in and one picture of his dog). his costar is not doing this to the same extent

-owns every volume of the manga in physical form (not just like the first few to get into character. the entire series that has been released until now). he has shown proof of this. he also explicitly called it one of his favorite manga

-pioneered the ship name (which is 9239, the numbers said in japanese sound like the characters names put together lol)

-posts all the promo to rednote (chinese social media) himself

-likes and reposts EVERY post the mangaka makes on instagram. i have only seen some but my friend says its pretty much all of it

A winter sun wakes the wind in spring hills' dream (From the creators of 'Secrets happened on the litchi island')

Starring main couple Xiong Yiwen & Liu Jingyu, and secondary couple He Jiakai & Guo Zhongxu. Hu Yichen, who played Xiaozhi in Shotli, will apparently be playing the younger brother of the main character. The cinematography looks absolutely breathtaking. I can't wait for this one.

Phonetics talk?? In my bl??? Flirting with IPA???

As a linguist who specializes in phonetics and prosody, I've never sat up in my seat faster while watching a bl

IPA mention too!! And they were writing the ipa in slashes at first which is for broad transcription (less detail) as opposed to brackets which is for narrow transcription (more detail).

The ipa there is saying "I like you na khrap" if it wasn't already obvious. Interestingly they're using two different ways to write diphthongs. aɪ and aj.

Btw that says 'phonetic is fun'. Not sure why they left out the s in phonetics but ok. It also looks like the transcription for phonetics here has the stress marker ' in it.
