Food Diary. Monday 22 July, 2019
I have been increasingly concerned that I am insulin resistant, and I really do want to shift this last bit of weight, so I'm starting a (possibly) 12 Week program. It will depend, because you can allegedly lose 4-5kg a fortnight. So, it will last as long as the time it takes to get me there.
I may have gone slightly over the 800cal limit, BUT not by too much, and those extra calories were vegetables and lean meat (and maybe 2 teensy, tiny slices of grilled haloumi. I'm only human! And I wanted a snack, and it was the best choice I could make at the time)
Ratatouille and Haloumi Bake, a small side salad dressed with chilli-infused olive oil and lemon juice.
Strawberries, snow peas, sugar snap peas.
Post-work naughty moment:
2 small (seriously, like 40-50g altogether) slices grilled haloumi w lemon juice.
Baked chicken breast, steamed brocollini and carrots and a 'creamy' cauliflower mash.
Overall, it was a pretty good day. All the food was delicious, but the sugar withdrawal headache started at about 2.30pm, and work wasn't busy enough to distract me. But I am pretty energetic. I didn't feel immediately bloated and exhausted after eating, and tomorrow I'm going to start bouncing on my mini tramp every day, just to get my heart rate up.
It just takes a minute at a time. And I just need to remember that.
