hiya dot! thaaaank you for sending this in! 🫶🫶 this snip picks off from the last one! and, as you'll notice, there is a section in the middle of it that i have... not written yet lol. i'm still trying to figure out how i want to say what i want to say there, so please "pardon my dust", as they say 😅
There’s a bit of a chill to the air, when they finally make it outside, but it feels nice against Ravi’s bare arms. It was warm inside the club, all those bodies and heavy strobing lights and the alcohol too, raising the temperature. It’s quieter out here, too. The pulse of the music is still vaguely audible, and there’s definitely a bachelorette party squealing overexcitedly at each other as they spill out of two different rideshares and a group of men guffawing loudly in front of the sports bar across the street, and Ravi’s ears are still ringing a little, but at least he can hear himself think now. Which is a good thing, considering there is something on his mind. [WRITE THIS BIT] He waits until they’ve walked at least a whole block away from the club and the noisy, potentially eavesdroppy stragglers outside before he brings it up. “So,” Ravi starts, stuffing his hands into the pockets of his slacks as he falls into step beside Eddie. There’s a good foot or so between them, not because he’s trying to give Eddie a wide berth, per se, but because Ravi is familiar with the concept of personal space, unlike the barnacle who usually grows right off of Eddie’s hip. Not that Eddie ever seems to mind it. Hell, he might actually be missing it right now.
