Chess. What a disgustingly boring and wretched game it was. The damned thing should have been completely eliminated ages ago. But thanks to too highly intelligent people like his current opponent, Ciel Phantomhive, the blasted game had continued on thriving, and became ever more popular amongst the royals. So much so that now the Earl Trancy had to take lessons on how to play properly.
That's why he even had Ciel here in the first place, to teach him. And though he knew that the other truly hadn't wanted to be here, and only came because the Queen had threatened him about it, the blonde was willing to do it because he secretly was just enjoying the company, the fact that he had another human being to talk to, even if that human being hated him to the very core.
Staring blankly at the board sitting in front of him, nimble fingers had just wrapped around one of his white pawns, when he heard, just barley, the question escape the other earls lips. And quickly the boy's head snapped up, carefully watching the other to see if he had become intoxicated. But when it appeared he hadn't, Alois quickly settled his piece down and stood up, only to settle next to Ciel and began to run his fingers lazily across the boy's covered torso.
"Ciel!~ How I've always wanted to hear you propose such a question to me! This simply must be a dream come true!~"
