esen freezes after she reads the string of messages from kyungseok. what made her so interesting that someone considered it newsworthy? she didn't think anything she had done lately was particularly interesting or concerned others. there had been a tiny incident at the gala, but other people didn't know about that, did they?

he knows her too well because she’s in shock and has no intentions of going on social media to find out what they're saying about her. esen also knows she must text him before he worries about her. she'll be okay. she’s almost positive.

          cassian needs out.  like, now.  he's been here for a grand total of not long enough according to the clock that cerberus is definitely tracking, but he hasn't even done what he came here to do. nevermind the stomach-twisting / nausea-inducing / headache-giving vibes of the entire situation.  this reeks of suspicion, and the most that he can do is observe.  strict orders from above to exist and not get into trouble, not that cassian is a magnet for problems.

          kyungseok, however...

          it's not hard to find the man, but he still finds it funny     (     comforting  ?  uneasy  ?     )     that he's staked out the same corner of the venue that cassian was planning on gathering himself in during a panic attack that he's sure is incoming.  at least this way, he won't have to ask for a more private space to have a discussion.
