The Cullen’s meting Charlie:
If Bella was their mate, how would each Cullen react when they officialy met Charlie?
Carlisle
Completly chill outside, freaking out inside. He knows how much a father opinion matters, so he really didn’t wanted to say anything wrong to make Charlie start to hate him. Carlisle knew Charlie would have his reservations about the relationship, considering Carlisle was supposed to be much older than he looked and had five kids with Bella’s age. Carlisle did waited until Bella was eighteen to even give her a hug, but of course Charlie didn’t think that was the case.
So it was akward, to say the least.
They talked a lot about their jobs. Charlie was clearly trying to ignore that Bella did that dinner to present her boyfriend to him. So they didn’t talked about it until Bella brings the subject. Charlie is imediatly mad. Well, not mad, just dead serious.
“I think you should know that I find this... weird. You are ten years older. You have kids. Five of them.”
“I understand, Chief Swan. But I promisse I have the best intensions to your daugther.”
Esme
Nothing to worry about. She makes the most delicious dinner (with all of Charlie favorites) and asks everyone else to leave the house. But when is time to wait for them to arive, she starts to get worried, specially because she tryies to put herself on Charlie place, and she dosen’t like it. So she starts to clean around to keep busy, but is still shaking a little when they arive.
Charlie wouldn’t have too many reservations about Esme, execept for the five kids again.
“I know they aren’t actually your kids, but you’re the responsible for them.” He says, until he realizes what he just said. “I mean, not that I don’t think you’re their mother, is just...” He’s blushing now. Esme realizes it’s hard for him too, maybe even harder than it was for her, and she simpatizes for it.
“It’s okay, Charlie. I know is a little hard to understand, we don’t have the most common family after all.” She shares a amused look with Bella. “But I promisse that Bella is already a part of this family.”
Edward
Just read the book... or watch the movie.
Rosalie
Probably freaking out like Carlisle would, mostly because she don’t meet much human fathers after she was turned. When she was human, people were really rude about homossexuality, and you could expect to be shot at if you were presented as his daughter's girlfriend. So yeah, she was kind of waiting Charlie to shoot at her.
Rosalie spend like five hours chosing her clothes and doing her make up (she even gave up and asked Alice for help), and stayed in her car for ten minutes to calm down before knocking in the door.
Dinner went well. Of course she had to eat some disgusting food, but Charlie seemed normal and she couldn’t see his gun anywhere near, so she didn’t had to worry about finding a excuse for not dying. She helps Bella to clean so she can avoid Charlie as much as she can.
When Rosalie say she’s leaving, Charlie beats Bella and say he’s taking her to the car. Rosalie swear to God the Swan’s were going to give her a heart attack. After the 'father conversation', Rosalie is finally released to go home, not that she’s feeling any better because Charlie did imply that he would find a way to destroy her life if she hurted his daughter (considering Rosalie hability to say things without thinking, she just knew he would probably had to keep his promisse).
Emmett
Emmett would be Emmett. Not that he’s not worried about Charlie not approving him, is just that he knew he could always climb Bella’s window if he sends him away. But they click right away. They spent all dinner talking about sports and the games, while Bella is rolling her eyes to them. Emmett has Charlie on his side when he says they could watch the game together on Sunday since no one else in his house likes it (Bella knows he’s lying, since he always watch it with Jasper and Carlisle).
Bella is really impressed when dinner is over. Charlie absolutly loves Emmett already, even if he say the boy can’t go to their house if he’s not there (‘She’s my daughter, big guy, so no sneaking’). Of course Emmett is waiting for her in her room when she says goodnight to Charlie.
Jasper
He wouldn’t met Charlie when Bella decides to present them. Jasper would go to his house one night, knock in the door and asks him if he can talk. Bella probably don’t know what he’s doing. Jasper says he wants to take Bella to a date and would like his permission to do so.
Charlie would be so fucking suprise he would be waiting for the joke. When he see just how serious Jasper is, he blushes.
“Well, I’m uh... Shouldn’t you ask her?”
Jasper gives him a grin. “I would like to know if you would be okay with it. I have feelings for your daughter.”
Charlie looks behind his shoulder for a second. “Uh... If Bella is okay, I’m okay. Just, you know, don’t make anything stupid. I’m a cop.”
“I won’t.”
Alice
She knows exactly what is going to happen, and what to say so Charlie don’t kick her out. Like Emmett, he loves her imediatly. She keeps talking no stop, what is good to him, cause he is no more good at social interactions than his daughter. Alice even say a few nice things about him that makes him blush. She always make sure to bring Carlisle to the subject, since she knows how much he admires her father figure.
Alice don’t hold back on the PDA in front of him, so she would kiss and hug Bella, also hold her hand on the table. Charlie would be a little unconfortable only because is his daughter they’re talking about, but he also think is cute. He would have no problem agreeing with Alice when she asks permission to take Bella to shopping in Seattle.
“Just, you know, kid... Don’t do anything I wouldn’t.”
