Pairing - Carlisle x mate vampire reader you and Carlisle have been paired for centuries, giving Bella just a peak of your love for each other
The first time you heard the name Carlisle Cullen, it was little more than a whisper carried through the slow, secretive channels vampires used to spread unusual news. You had existed for centuries already, turned sometime in 1570s in a world that still burned people for witchcraft and whispered about monsters lurking in forests. You had survived by instinct and restraint when you could manage it, but restraint had always been a fragile thing for your kind.
So when you heard rumors of a vampire who refused human blood, who lived only on animals, you were certain it was nonsense. A fantasy. A story told by desperate creatures trying to believe they could be something better than what they were.
Still, curiosity had always been one of your greatest flaws.
It took you years to track him down. The world was slower then, information traveled by rumor and chance encounters. But eventually your search led you to England, where the quiet doctor moved like a ghost among humans, gentle and careful, leaving no trace of what he truly was.
The night you finally saw Carlisle, you almost didn’t believe it.
He stood alone in a clearing just beyond a small village, moonlight spilling across his pale hair as he finished feeding from a deer. When he noticed you, he didn’t attack. Didn’t bare his teeth.
He simply stepped back, giving you space.
“You’ve been following me,” he said calmly, his voice carrying the soft accent of centuries past. You tilted your head, studying him with open curiosity. “You’re the one drinking animal blood.”
His golden eyes flickered with surprise that you knew. “Yes.” You had expected arrogance. Or madness, instead, he looked… hopeful.
Something strange stirred inside your chest the moment your eyes met. A pull, deep and unexplainable. Like something ancient recognizing its other half after centuries of wandering.
You felt it instantly and judging by the stunned look that crossed Carlisle’s face, he felt it too.
You laughed softly, disbelief coloring your voice.
“Well,” you murmured, stepping closer, “that explains the strange feeling.” Carlisle blinked. “You feel it as well?”
You nodded once. “Seems we’re something rather rare,” you said quietly. “Mates.” The word lingered between you like a vow neither of you had expected.
Three hundred years later, the feeling had never faded, if anything, it had only grown stronger.
When Bella Swan first arrived in Forks, she noticed it almost immediately. She had already been overwhelmed by meeting the rest of the Cullen family, Edward Cullen, Esme Cullen, and the others, but there was something quietly different about the way you and Carlisle interacted.
It wasn’t obvious at first, just small things.
The way Carlisle’s hand would naturally find yours when you stood near each other. The soft smiles that passed between you across the room. The way you seemed to gravitate toward one another without even thinking.
Bella noticed it most one evening while visiting the Cullen house.
She had been sitting on the couch nervously, watching the strange but warm dynamics of the vampire family around her. Edward sat beside her, explaining something quietly, when her eyes drifted toward the kitchen.
You stood at the counter, flipping through a medical journal Carlisle had left open. A small, amused smile tugged at your lips, a moment later Carlisle entered the room. His eyes found you instantly and his entire expression softened, not dramatically. Anyone else might have missed it, but Bella saw.
He walked over quietly, resting one hand at the small of your back in a gesture so natural it seemed like second nature.
“What did you find?” he asked gently. You hummed, pointing at the page. “Your colleague’s theory here is flawed.”
Carlisle leaned closer to read, your shoulders brushing, for a moment neither of you spoke, just standing with eachother.
Then he chuckled softly. “You’re right,” he admitted. Bella stared at the scene unfolding Infront of her.
Three hundred years, Edward had told her earlier. You and Carlisle had been together for three hundred years.
And yet the way he looked at you…
It wasn’t tired.
It wasn’t routine.
It was the same look Bella had seen people give each other during the first days of falling in love.
Warm. Devoted. Completely certain.
Later, Bella found herself whispering to Edward, eyes still drifting toward the two of you across the room.
“They’ve been together for centuries, right?” Edward nodded in agreement. “Yes. three give or take a few."
Bella watched as Carlisle brushed a stray strand of hair from your face, the movement so gentle it almost felt sacred. Her lips parted slightly in amazement. “They still look…” she struggled for the word.
Edward smiled knowingly.
“Hopelessly in love?”
Bella nodded slowly.
Across the room, you laughed softly at something Carlisle said, the sound light and warm. He looked at you the way someone might look at the sun after a long winter, like something he would never take for granted.
Edward leaned back against the couch.
“That’s what happens,” he said quietly, “when you find the person meant for you.”
Bella watched the two of you a moment longer.
Three hundred years.
And somehow the love between you and Carlisle still looked brand new.
authors note: Just something short I wanted to write. It's not really a fanfic, but more of a self insert of how I would appropriately react with some events in Twilight. Hope you enjoy!
synopsis: You don't have a filter, which is a good thing (yeah, fuck whoever disagrees) which means that you make your dislike for Bella Swan apparent. It's not because she's mean, quite the opposite, but because you find her survival instincts to be nonexistent.
You had been with the Cullens long enough to know one thing: your family was full of liars. Not malicious ones, just polite ones. Polite to a fault. Polite in the “let’s pretend we’re not all thinking the same thing” way.
Esme smiled through everything. Carlisle rationalized everything. Alice saw everything and said nothing. Emmett laughed everything off. Jasper avoided everything. Rosalie judged everything silently. But you? You said it out loud. So when Bella Swan moved down from Arizona, smelling like the world’s most tempting air freshener and staring at your family like you were her personal Netflix show, you did the only reasonable thing.
You stared back.
Hard.
Unblinking.
Like a cat who just realized the laser pointer might actually be alive.
Across the cafeteria, Bella froze, eyes widening as if she hadn’t expected you to notice the staring, which was insane because she’d been doing it for several days now. Edward elbowed you sharply under the table. “Stop that.”
“She started it.” You said, but gave Edward the pleasure of looking away and slouching deeper in your chair. “And why is she even staring at us? Do humans not know that eye contact means aggression? Or is this a regional problem? Maybe Arizona doesn’t have basic survival instincts.”
“(Y/N).” Edward hissed.
“I’m genuinely asking.”
Rosalie sighed like your existence personally offended her. “She’s curious, (Y/N). Humans get curious.”
“Curious about what? We sit here. We look pretty. We mind our undead business. It’s not like we’re juggling axes or sacrificing goats.”
“Alice suggested the axes once, remember?” Emmett said. “Carlisle said no.”
“And the goats?”
“Also no.”
“Tragic.”
Edward rubbed his temples. “Can everyone please behave? She’s not a threat.”
“Oh, I know she’s not a threat,” you said, stabbing at your boxed apple juice with unnecessary force. “She’s a walking liability. A hazard on legs. She radiates ‘about to trip and break something expensive’ energy.”
“She’s clumsy.” Jasper admitted diplomatically.
“Clumsy? Bro, clumsy is bumping into a chair. Bella looks like gravity filed a restraining order against her and it’s retaliating.”
Emmett choked on a laugh. Jasper pressed his lips together so hard they almost disappeared. Alice was openly beaming now, her chin propped in her hand like she was watching her favorite sitcom. Rosalie, for once, did not immediately scold you. She simply gave a slow, unimpressed blink that meant she agreed but refused to compliment you for it.
Bella's eyes drifted up again: straight to your table, straight to Edward, and then (unfortunately) straight to you. When your eyes met, you raised your brows, silently mouthing, "What are you looking at?" She jerked so hard that the cartoon of milk nearly spilled on the table.
Edward kicked your shin under the table. “Stop terrorizing her.”
You glared at him. “I’m not terrorizing her. I’m observing.”
“You’re glaring.”
“That was a neutral expression.”
“For a vampire about to commit a felony.” Rosalie supplied. You rolled your eyes and reached for your fork. Edward snatched it out of your hand instantly.
“What are you—?"
He hissed under his breath, “Your face looks like you’re about to throw it at her.”
You blinked, and paused to considered it. “Okay, fair. But give it back.”
“No. You don't need to frighten her anymore than you have.”
“I wasn't scaring her,” you said, though no one at the table believed you. “If anything, I’m preparing her. This is enrichment. Like zoo training.”
TIME SKIP
When Edward came home that afternoon, his expression was the exact mix of disgust and existential dread you usually associate with Rosalie encountering a crowded mall. He barely got through the door before you spoke. “What crawled up your ass and died?”
Edward dropped his bag with unnecessary dramatics. “I had Biology with her.”
You recoiled. “Oh my god. And, let me guess, she sat next to you?”
“Yes.”
You slapped a hand over your chest. “A tragedy. A violation. You poor thing.” Edward glared. You shrugged. "No actually, I get it. She smells like dessert to you, right? And instead of avoiding you like a human with basic survival instincts she's like, ‘Oh gee, let me sit beside the immortal bloodsucker and try to befriend him.’ That’s a choice. A stupid one.”
Edward groaned. “It took everything in me not to jump across the table and suck her dry."
You raised a brow. “So this is the part where you decide to stay away from her, right?” Edward didn’t answer. You slapped a hand over your eyes. “Oh no. You’re already obsessed, aren’t you?”
And obsessed he was.
Painfully. Horrifyingly. Criminally.
Two days later, he unknowingly let it slip—and by slip, you mean he confessed it like a man who had forgotten what shame was—that he’d been watching Bella sleep from inside her room like a total creep. It happened during another dramatic Edward Entry, where he appeared at the top of the stairs with that look. That haunted, dreamy, lovesick, vaguely murderous look.
“I’ve discovered something.” he murmured, descending the stairs like a gothic chandelier falling in slow motion.
“A personality?” He ignored you. That was mistake number one.
“She talks in her sleep.” Edward said, voice low and weirdly soft.
You blinked once. Twice. “…Excuse me?”
Edward paused, eyebrows lifting in mild confusion. “Bella. She—”
“—talks in her sleep,” you finished for him. “Yes. Yes, you just said that. My question is: how you know this?”
Emmett’s eyebrows shot up. Jasper straightened in his seat like someone had plugged him into an electrical socket. Rosalie turned her head slowly—very slowly—to glare at Edward, because although she disliked Bella with a passion, she wasn’t about to let her brother be a full blown psycho. Her eyes narrowed into lethal slits.
“Edward. Tell me you’re joking.”
He stiffened. “I—”
“No,” Rosalie snapped, cutting him off like a guillotine. “Don’t. Whatever you say next is going to make me want to hit you, and Carlisle will get mad when I break your jaw.”
Emmett raised a hand helpfully. “I can hold him down.”
Rosalie didn’t even look at him. “He wouldn’t fight back. He’d probably cry about it.”
Jasper’s voice was cautious, like he was approaching a wild animal. “Edward, please tell us how you discovered this?”
Hesitation.
A bad sign.
A very bad sign.
You leaned forward, eyes narrowing. “Edward, where were you standing when she was sleep talking?”
“I wasn’t standing.” he said defensively.
Rosalie looked a heartbeat away from physical violence. “Okay, so you were sitting. Where? On a tree branch? Outside her window like a feral owl?"
He winced. “The rocking chair in her room.”
The room exploded.
Rosalie made a strangled, murderous noise. Jasper froze as if preparing emotionally for Edward’s funeral. Emmett dropped the remote and whispered, “Oh my god. You ARE a creep.” And you stood up so fast your chair skidded backward.
“EDWARD ANTHONY MASEN CULLEN!”
“Don’t use my full name—”
“You sat,” you repeated, stabbing each word into the air like a knife. “In the dark. In the corner. In a rocking chair. Watching a human girl as she slept like some sort of pale, sparkly sleep paralysis demon?"
Edward winced. “When you say it like that—”
“How ELSE am I supposed to say it?” you barked. “You violated every privacy law ever created! Even the unwritten ones! Humans don’t even LIKE when their pets stare at them while they sleep.”
“I didn’t mean—”
“Oh my god,” Rosalie cut in, looking genuinely appalled. “I didn't think you could become even more of a loser than you were."
It was at that moment that Esme entered the room cheerfully, but then froze, noticing the tension. “What’s going on?”
You pointed at Edward with the dramatic fury of a soap opera character. “Oh, it's nothing. Just that your perfect golden boy here has been breaking into Bella Swan’s bedroom and WATCHING HER SLEEP!”
Esme blinked. Then blinked again. “Oh dear...”
Carlisle followed behind her, eyebrows rising. “Edward?”
Edward threw his hands up. “I was making sure she was safe!”
You gaped at him. “SAFE FROM WHAT, EDWARD?! NIGHTMARES? PILLOWS? HER OWN BREATHING?!”
Emmett nodded vigorously. “Bro, imagine waking up and seeing YOU in the corner. I’d yeet myself out the window.”
Jasper nodded. “So would I.”
Edward glared at all of you. “None of you understand—”
“OH TRUST ME,” you barked, “we understand PERFECTLY. You have lost your goddamn mind.”
Rosalie stepped closer, voice low. “If Bella finds out about this, she is going to pass out so fast she’ll crack her skull on her nightstand. And then YOU’LL have to explain to Charlie Swan why his daughter died of fright.”
Emmett held up a finger. “Which would be hilarious—”
Rosalie snapped, “Emmett!”
“—but bad.”
You pinched the bridge of your nose. “Edward, listen carefully. Humans don’t LIKE being watched while unconscious. They tend to—oh, I don’t know—call the police!”
“That’s ridiculous.” Edward scoffed.
“Oh?” you asked sweetly. “And what would YOU do if a stranger sat in YOUR room at night?”
“I would know.” He said smugly.
“Yes,” you said dryly, “because you’re a vampire. Bella is a CHIHUAHUA with the durability of a breadstick.”
“Oh! Well EXCUSE ME,” you said dramatically. “Three encounters. That changes everything. Let’s book the wedding.”
Emmett raised a hand. “Dibs on best man.”
Rosalie hissed. “We are not planning a wedding for the girl he’s currently stalking.”
“I'm not—"
“STALKING!”
ANOTHER TIME SKIP
Edward really lived up to his creep status. Not even a week after stalking the poor girl, he took her into the woods and confirmed that yes, he sparkled like a disco ball in direct sunlight, yes, he was a vampire, and yes, the rest of his family were too. You nearly sprinted into the woods to find the largest tree trunk available, solely to beat him with it.
Rule #1 (if there was a handbook): DO NOT REVEAL YOUR STATUS TO HUMANS.
And what did Edward do? He broke it. Crushed it. Set it on fire. Ran it over with his stupid Volvo. And then? Then he had the audacity—the pure nerve—to invite the girl to your home. Your safe place. The one place you guys didn't need to hide. You met them in the kitchen alongside the rest of your family who were busy making Italiano.
Edward practically glowed with smugness. “So, this is Bella.”
You stared at her.
She stared back.
You blinked slowly, once, twice, like a warning system rebooting. “…Why is she here?”
Esme gasped softly. “(Y/N)!”
Bella flushed, shrinking in on herself. “I—I didn’t mean to intrude—”
“You’re not intruding.” Edward reassured her, giving Bella a soft smile like he hadn't done anything wrong.
You pointed a stiff, accusing finger at him. “Oh, she absolutely is intruding. What happened to subtlety? What happened to discretion? What happened to keeping our kind a secret?”
Bella blinked nervously. “I apologize if me knowing brought you guys any problems—”
You barked a laugh.
Not a cute laugh.
A deranged older sibling losing their patience laugh.
“Oh, sweetheart, you didn’t bring us any problems. He did.”
Edward’s jaw tightened. “(Y/N)—”
“No, no, do not ‘(Y/N)’ me,” you snapped, stepping forward. “Do you have any idea how many decades—DECADES—we’ve spent keeping a low profile? Do you know how many times I’ve had to dodge nosy humans, animal control, conspiracy theorists, and that one lady who swore Emmett was Bigfoot?”
Emmett yelled from behind the kitchen counter, “SHE TOOK A PICTURE OF ME EATING A GRANOLA BAR—WHAT WAS I SUPPOSED TO DO?!”
You waved a dismissive hand. “Case in point.”
Bella’s eyes widened. “I—I didn’t know—”
“Of course you didn’t know,” you said. “And you shouldn’t have known anything. About any of us. Because Edward was supposed to handle this like a responsible adult. Instead, he took you to the forest like a dramatically depressed anime character and told you everything.”
Edward hissed, “It wasn’t like that—”
“Oh?” you said. “Did you or did you not ‘say it, out loud’ her into a supernatural TED Talk?” Edward opened his mouth. You didn’t let him finish. “Exactly, you dramatically confessed eternal damnation in a mossy forest like the world’s biggest theatre kid.”
At that moment, you heard the sound of a glass breaking and Jasper's slight cursing. You didn't need to be in the same room to know he looked like a man trying to balance a thousand knifes on his head while walking a tightrope over a pit of Bella-scented lava.
“Okay,” you muttered. “Time for intervention number twelve of the week.” You turned your back on the couple and stepped into the main living room where Jasper stood at the top of the staircase.
"Come on, bro." You said, grabbing him by the wrist and nudging him towards the back hallway where the exit was. "Let’s go take a long walk where no gremlins are messing with you."
Jasper gritted his teeth. “Thank you.”
Edward called out, annoyed, “We’re in the middle of a discussion—!”
You flipped him off without looking back. “Yeah? Well I’m in the middle of keeping your girlfriend alive. You’re welcome.”

Forks was never quiet, not really. Not with the rain tapping the windows like it had a secret to tell, or the wind slipping between the trees like it was chasing something. But tonight, the forest felt still—like it was holding its breath.
Y/n sat in the passenger seat of Jasper’s car with her legs crossed. The dashboard lights cast a soft glow across his profile - sharp jaw, golden eyes, that unreadable little smile he wore when he knew exactly what she was thinking but was too much of a gentleman to say it.
“you all right, darlin’?” Jasper asked in that smooth, honey-sweet Southern drawl, glancing over at you. His hand lightly rested on her knee, thumb brushing soft circles over the fabric of her jeans. Y/n bit her lip, cheeks flushing despite the cool air.
Y/n nodded, smiling. “I'm great” she said smoothly, her fingers fidgeting with the sleeve of his jacket that she'd somehow ended up wearing - she couldn't even form any words when he draped it over her shoulders. Jasper smiled like he’d let her steal anything she wanted, as long as it was his.
Jasper’s gaze roved over her form, lingering on the way his jacket hung off her curves, the sleeves falling way past her fingertips. He hummed, a low, amused sound.
“Careful,” he murmured, tilting his head as the car bumped over a pothole. His hand slid up her thigh, fingers drumming lightly against her curves. “Keep wearin’ my clothes and people’re gonna talk”
“What kinda talk?” she smirked, laying her head back against the headrest and turning her head towards Jasper with a crooked smile. “that the Cullens requited another innocent soul for their cult?” I joked. The people of Forks - especially the high school are full of conspiracists and quick to say the Cullens are strange.
He chuckled at that, that same low rumble that made her stomach twist. She could feel the chill of his palm through the fabric of her jeans, and his thumb brushed the sensitive skin of her inner thighs.
“Innocent,” he repeated, his smirk making his golden eyes flash. “You, darlin’?"
The car slowed as it approached the Swan residence where y/n lived with her uncle Charlie, rain drumming softly against the windshield. Jasper's hand slid further up her thigh as he pulled into the gravel driveway.
“I'm as innocent as they come” innocent? Perhaps she was, in the eyes of God maybe - physically. Mentally innocent? Now that's a bit treacherous as she clutched her V-card and used it as a bookmark in those dirty Dark Romance books Jasper keeps cluelessly buying for, not having a clue what's going on within the pages. Virtues, maybe innocent, but far from clueless.
He laughed again, the sound rich and warm like bourbon. His fingers squeezed her thigh gently before he pulled into the driveway fully. The car idled there for a moment as Jasper turned to face her. The rain was heavier now, pattering against the roof like a thousand tiny fingers. “You know,” he started, intentionally trailing off. His golden eyes caught hers in the semi-darkness, the streetlight casting shadows across his angular jaw. “For someone so 'innocent', you sure spend an awful lot of time alone with dangerous vampires”
“Oh, but have you seen that vampire?” y/n teased, leaning over the center conceal slightly and inches herself closer. “he's too attractive and charming to ignore”
Jasper's smile widened at the teasing, his gaze never leaving hers. He leaned in too, bridging the gap between them. “And you think that makes him less dangerous?” he asked softly, his voice barely audible over the sound of the rain.
Her grin grew wider, her eyes fluttering as her head tilted slightly as the gap got smaller. “he'd never hurt me” she mumbled, brushing her nose against his, there lips almost touching.
“Mm,” He hummed softly, their lips brushing again. “You have no idea how deadly a vampire can be,” He teased lightly, his fingers finding her hip bone. “I mean, what if one decided to-” y/n let out a squeek as she was pulled into his lap in a flash.
“-bite you right here,” he finished, his mouth hovering over the delicate curve of her neck. His hands gripped her hips possessively, pulling her back against his chest. “Or here,” He nipped at her collarbone playfully. “And you’d let him, wouldn’t you?”
She shuddered, her body melting towards him without a second thought. It took every ounce of Jasper's self-control not to claim her right then and there. His fangs ached, longing to pierce her perfect skin. He pressed a kiss to her neck, right where her pulse throbbed rapidly.
“Jasper” y/n breathed out his name like a plea, her fingers tangling in his hair. She tilted his head up towrds her. It was an invitation he couldn’t refuse. Jasper's eyes flashed with hunger and desire as he met her gaze. He didn't need any more encouragement. His lips crashed onto hers, fierce and passionate. One hand gripped her hip while the other tangled in her hair, deepening the kiss as if trying to consume her entirely.
The kiss was intense and overwhelming. Jasper's tongue pushed past her lips, exploring her mouth with a hunger that bordered on desperate. His fangs scraped gently against her bottom lip, a warning and a promise all at once. She tasted like heaven and sin combined, intoxicating him completely.
A small moan rumbled in her throat, to the human ear it was small enough the sound of the rain covered it. Jasper heard it all too clear. Y/n's hands brushed down his chest cautiously but daringly - like she was daring herself and him to finally take the leap, darling him to let himself ruin her. Her hands trailed lower, feeling his hard, cold abdomen under her touch. Then her fingers brushed the leather of his belt.
“Darlin'” Jasper's breath hitched as her fingers brushed the leather of his belt. He was rock hard, his vampire nature making him more sensitive than any human could imagine. The sound of the rain and her soft moans filled his ears, driving him wild with desire. But he wasn't gonna let them go over the edge. Not in his car, she was too precious to take something so valuable from her in a piece of metal on wheels.
He grabbed her wrists gently but firmly, pulling her hands away from his belt. “Not here, darlin',” he murmured against her lips, his voice rough with restraint. He pressed his forehead against hers, trying to control himself.
“Jasper...” she started.
“Shh,” he placed a quick kiss on her lips, silencing her protest. His dark eyes bore into hers intently. “Listen to me, sugar. When I take you, and believe me baby, I'm going to take you - it's not gonna be in the backseat of my car”
“you're not afraid to touch me, are you?” she asked softly. The whole having sex with a vampire, it could go one or two ways.
Jasper's expression softened at her question. He cups her face gently, his thumb brushing over her soft cheek. “y/n, I'm terrified to touch you,” he admits quietly. “Not because I'm afraid you'll break, but because once I start, I don't know if I'll be able to stop”
“I trust you, Jasper”
Jasper's heart swells at her words. She trusts him, even though he's a vampire, even though he could so easily hurt her. It means the world to him. He leans in and kisses her softly, pouring all his emotions into it. When he pulls back, his eyes are filled with determination.
“so what if we hypothetically,” y/n started, her voice dropped to a whisper. She kissed his neck. “if we go to my room, the lights are off... We take each other's clothes off, and we get into my bed?”
Jasper's breath hitched. The image she's painting is incredibly tempting. His hands grip her hips gently as he pulls her flush against him. “Hypothetically speaking,” he murmurs against her lips, “I'd make love to you slowly and deep until you forget your own name”
“Hypothetically” she nodded, pressing her lips against his softly.
Jasper groans softly as her lips meet his. The softness, the innocence in her kiss is driving him insane. He bites back a growl and deepens the kiss slightly before pulling away. “If we go upstairs, darlin'” he warns her, his voice strained.
“I'm ready, Jas” y/n cut him off, whispering softly.
Jasper's resolve crumbles at her words. He gets her out of the car suddenly, lifting her into his arms bridal style. He carries her into the house and upstairs to her room, kicking the door shut behind them. He sets her down gently on the bed and turns off the lights as requested. The room went dark except the fairy lights that was stung around her room - the fairy lights he had hung up for her.
Y/n stood up, staring up at him with doe eyes as the space between them grew thinner. Jasper watches her closely. His heart pounds in his chest as she stares up at him like that. He steps closer until there's barely any space left between them. His hands reach up to cup her face gently before he leans down to kiss her again. She moans softly against his lips, reaching up and slowly started to unbutton his shirt.
Jasper freezes for a moment, his breath catching in his throat as her fingers brush against his bare skin. He helps her unbutton his shirt quickly before shrugging it off completely. His hands then go to her dress, slowly unzipping it. The dress drops to the floor with a soft puddle. He takes a moment to admire her beauty in the dim light. She's wearing a black lace bra and panties set that makes his mouth water. He slowly unhooks her bra, letting it fall to the ground.
Her fingers traced up his jaw and into his hair, she held the back of his head and brought him down to her height. Their lips moved together slowly, but passionately. She pulled away to take a breath, she stared into his golden eyes as she started to lower herself down on her knees.
"Don't you dare," he says firmly but gently, catching her chin before she can lower herself any further. His golden eyes meet hers intensely in the dark room. “if that's your first instinct, then you need to lay off the dark romance novels” He sits down on the bed, pulling her up to stand between his legs.
He wraps his arms around her waist, pulling her into his lap. He presses a soft kiss to her stomach before looking up at her with those golden eyes filled with love and desire. “You don't need to do that to make me want you, darlin', because trust me, I'm already losing my mind over every inch of you,” His hands trail slowly up her sides, making her shiver. “And you deserve better than that for your first time”
She shivered under his touch. He smirks slightly at her reaction, his hands moving to her hips as he pulls her closer against him. He stands up suddenly, lifting her into his arms again and laying her down gently on the bed. He climbs over her slowly, settling between her legs and capturing her lips in a deep kiss.
“are you gonna take your pants off?” she whispered against his lips as her fingers disappeared in his curls.
A crooked smile tuggs at his lips. “Yeah, Darlin' I will” he said said softly, kissing her again before reaching down to unbuckle his belt. He unbuttons his pants and pushes them down along with his boxers, kicking them off the bed. He watches her reaction closely. Her eyes darkened slightly as she bit her bottom lip innocently. He realizes that she has no idea how sexy she looks right now. His body tenses as her legs slightly spread wider apart, making him lose his mind slightly.
“isn't supposed hurt the first time?” y/n whispered softly.
He leans down to kiss her neck, his hands gently parting her thighs wider. “just a bit, especially if your aroused properly” he whispered in her ear, making her shiver.
Jasper trails kisses down her neck, chest, and stomach before settling between her thighs. He looks up at her with a soft smile before pressing a gentle kiss to her inner thigh. He starts to kiss and lick her softly there, preparing her body and trying to make the first time as comfortable as possible for her.
“Jasper” She moans breathlessly, gripping his hair in her hands.
"Mhm?" He hums against her core, his tongue licking slower and deeper, making her legs shake slightly. He realizes how innocent and inexperienced she is. She moans loudly when he finds a spot that drives her crazy. Her eyes roll back slightly at the overwhelming pleasure.
He smiles against her sensitive flesh, knowing exactly what he's doing to her. He continues his gentle assault with his tongue, wanting to make sure she's ready and wet enough for him before they go any further. He slips two fingers inside her slowly, making sure she feels only pleasure from this act.
“Oh, fuck” she moaned breathlessly, her head tilting back.
He chuckles softly, the vibration against her sensitive spot making her moan even louder. “You like that, Darlin'?” he asks, his fingers moving slowly in and out of her, his tongue never stopping its gentle assault. He can feel her tightening around his fingers, a sign that she's getting closer.
“Y-yes” she whimpered in pleasure.
“Good girl” He praises softly, curling his fingers slightly to hit that spot inside her that makes her see stars. He continues to work her with his fingers and tongue, bringing her closer and closer to the edge. He feels her legs start to shake uncontrollably, her hands gripping his hair tightly. He knows she's about to come undone on his tongue. He doubles his efforts, sucking and licking harder until she cries out his name, her entire body shaking with pleasure as she comes apart against his mouth.
Jasper slowly removes his fingers and kisses his way back up her stomach, chest, and neck before capturing her lips again. She can taste herself on him, and it makes her blush furiously. “Are you still okay, Darlin'” he whispers against her lips, his hardness pressing against her thigh.
She nodded quickly, her breath hitching. “Y-yeah, you?”
“y/n, I'm fucking perfect” Jasper says with a hungry smile. “But... you need to tell me if it's too much, okay?” he whispers, positioning himself at her entrance. He's trying to be gentle, but the fact that she's completely vulnerable beneath him is nearly driving him wild.
She nodded, Jasper grabed her chin gently, making their eyes meet. “use your words, Darlin'. I need to hear you say it”
“I will” y/n said softly.
He kisses her on the forehead softly before slowly pushing inside her, giving her time to adjust to his size. She lets out a soft gasp into his mouth, her nails digging into his back. He breaks the kiss to look into her eyes, holding himself still inside her. “Breathe, Sweetheart”
She nodded quickly, her heart pounding. After a moment she nodded. “I'm okay, you can move”
Jasper slowly pulls back and pushes back in, his movements controlled and gentle. He watches her face closely, making sure she's comfortable and not in pain. With each slow thrust, he goes a little deeper, stretching her slowly. He captures her lips in a soft kiss to distract her from any discomfort.
“J-jasper” she moaned desperately. “holy, shit”
He chuckles against her lips at her sudden expletives, loving that he can make her lose control like this. He starts moving a little faster and deeper now that he knows she can handle it without pain. Each thrust hits a spot inside her that makes her eyes roll back and her legs shake around his waist. “You're doin' so good, Darlin'”
She moans louder, grabbing a fist full of his hair. “Damn,” Jasper growls, feeling her heat tighten around him and her passionate moans driving him crazy. He picks up the pace slightly, knowing exactly how to angle his hips to hit that sweet spot inside her that makes her gasp. “Is this too much, y/n?”
“N-no, your perfect” y/n stuttered, her breath shallow.
“y/n, you feel fucking incredible” he whispers, his muscles clenching as she tightens around him. He supports himself by gripping the headboard tightly tightly, the wood groaning under his supernatural grip as his free hand traces patterns on her bare skin.
Jasper watches her closely - her small breasts bouncing with each thrust, her cheeks flushed pink, her hair spread out on the pillow like a halo. She's like a damn goddess beneath him, making soft mewling noises that go straight to his dick. He realizes that he never thought he could be this gentle or this in control with a human before.
“Jasper, I think I'm close”
“I know, I can feel it,” he groans, his own release building rapidly. He leans down to capture one of her nipples in his mouth, sucking gently as he thrusts harder and faster. “Cum for me, Darling. You're doing so good”
“Jasper” Y/n comes apart beautifully - legs trembling violently, back arching off the bed as a loud moan escapes her lips. The feeling of her orgasm squeezing his cock pushes him over the edge instantly. With a deep groan against her neck, he thrusts hard one last time and releases inside her.
“Holy fuck” he whispers, collapsing gently on top of her, careful not to crush her. He can feel his cum steadily leaking out of her while she's still trembling from her orgasm. His lips find her neck as he catches his breath, gently kissing the sensitive skin there.
“Oh god, J-jasper” she moaned, working on catching her breath as she lazily dragged her fingers through his hair.
Jasper's hands gently caressing her sides. He loves how she's still touching him, like she doesn't want to let go just yet. He nuzzles into the crook of her neck, inhaling her sweet scent mixed with their lovemaking. “Did I hurt you?” he asks softly, pressing gentle kisses to her neck. He knows he needs to pull out soon, but he's not ready to break this connection yet. His cock is still semi-hard inside her, enjoying the feeling of being surrounded by her warmth.
“N-no, it was perfect” y/n said softly, smiling lazily as cupped both sides of his jaw.
“You're perfect,” he whispers back, nipping gently at her bottom lip. “A perfect fucking angel” He slowly pulls out, gentle enough not to cause any discomfort. Both of them make small noises at the sensation - hers a soft moan, his a satisfied rumble.
Jasper rolls off her slightly but keeps her close against his chest. His hand rests possessively on her hip while he studies her face with a soft expression. “We should clean up” he says reluctantly after a few moments of silence filled only with their gentle breaths.
“mm,” she nuzzled her face into his neck. “I don't think I can move”
He lets out a deep chuckle then, nuzzling back against her hair. “Well then, I guess I'll just have to carry you to the bathroom” Jasper slides an arm beneath her knees and one behind her back, lifting her up carefully. Y/n lets out a surprised giggle as he picks her up, her arms instinctively wrapping around his neck. He carries her bridal style to the bathroom, their bodies still sticky with sweat and other fluids. He sets her down gently on the countertop beside the sink.
“Stay there,” he commands softly, turning on the faucet to fill the tub with warm water. He adds some lavender-scented bath salts, watching as the water turns a light purple. Once it's filled, he turns back to her, his eyes roaming over her bare skin. Jasper held out his hand to help her down from the countertop. He leads her to the tub and slowly lowers them both into the warm water. She sits between his legs while he leans back against the porcelain edge.
“mm, thank you” she mumbles softly, turning her head to nuzzle her face into his neck.
“You're welcome, my love” Jasper murmurs, wrapping his arms around her tightly. The warm water feels soothing on their skin, cleaning away the evidence of their lovemaking. He rests his chin on top of her head, just enjoying the peaceful moment with her in his arms.
--------(Jasper’s pov)--------
I never thought I’d know peace like this.
Not after everything. Not after the wars, the bloodshed, the endless years of loneliness and guilt. And yet here she was, wrapped in my arms, breathing softly against my chest in the quiet aftermath. The woman who had somehow calmed the monster in me.
Her skin glowed from the fairy lights filtering throughout her bedroom. I traced slow patterns on her back, still marveling at how warm and soft she felt beneath my fingers. Human. Fragile. And yet… unbreakable.
At first, I’d been terrified of touching her like this - of losing control. Of hurting her. But she trusted me, and with every careful step, every whispered reassurance, we learned each other. That first night, hesitant and tender - changed everything.
Since then… Well, it was fair to say we’d made up for lost time.
We couldn’t keep our hands off each other. Any moment we had alone quickly turned into heated touches, breathless moans, tangled sheets. The thrill of passion mixed with relief. Knowing I wouldn’t hurt her, made it addictive. I could sense her emotions constantly: her desire, her happiness, her love. And mine mirrored hers, endlessly.
It was bliss.
Until a few weeks later, when everything shifted.
She stood in front of me now, holding a small plastic stick in her shaking hand. Two pink lines. Faint but undeniable.
Pregnant.
I felt the shift in her emotions first - the anxiety, the shock, the disbelief. And then my own. A storm of questions erupted in my head. How could this happen? Have I not learned from Edward and Bella's mistakes? The odds should have been astronomical, even for a human-vampire pairing. Edward and Bella’s situation had been unique - Bella carrying a half-vampire child nearly killed her. How could I do this to y/n.
But she was standing here - healthy, glowing, very much alive.
I reached for her gently. “Darlin’... talk to me.”
Her eyes lifted to meet mine - wide, overwhelmed, but not afraid. “Jasper, I feel fine, really. This time it'll be different”
My thumb brushed her cheek. The love I felt for her swelled to the point of pain. “How can you be sure?”
“I talked to Carlisle before I came to you, there’s no sign of what happened to Bella. No accelerated growth. No-” she hesitated, lowering her voice, “No broken ribs, no bruising. Nothing. Just a normal pregnancy.”
I drew her closer, pressing my forehead to hers. The fear in me started to ease. “You tell me the moment you feel anything strange. Anything at all.”
“Of course.” She smiled softly. “Honestly, I feel…happy. Surprised. But happy.”
Her emotions confirmed it. A blend of awe, nerves, and deep affection. No fear. No dread.
I let out a breathless laugh, pulling her into a tighter embrace. “Well, sugar, I guess we’re even more compatible than we thought.”
She giggled, her voice light against my chest. “I guess so… We're not Edward and Bella”
“No. No we are not”
In truth, I still couldn’t believe it. After decades of guilt, war, and violence, I had somehow stumbled into a future I never thought possible. A family. A life that wasn’t built on survival, but on love.
I whispered into her hair, “I’ll take care of you both. Always.”
Prompt: Being forced to work with someone on a biology project was torture; being forced to work with a new antisocial student who happens to be in a multi-series love triangle as a man…even worse. But not to worry! He’s as sweet as honey and his energy is infectious! He is the exact opposite of Bella Swan, so why was Jacob Black so drawn to him and his stupid grin? He's clear competition for Bella’s love that's all, right…right?!?!

Your shoes squeak against the marble flooring of the hallways, a rhythmic pattern following every step you take.
“Hi — !!!”
“Yoo — you still coming to my party Thursday?”
“Your hair clip is so cute today, can I borrow it sometime?”
Relentless chatter fills the hall as you make your way to class. To say you were a “popular kid” would be an overstatement(in your words). You like to say you're more of a token gay, you’ve lived in Forks your whole life and as you developed through puberty you found it easier to express yourself and kill people with kindness than subject yourself to a bigot's box.
Of course, you’ve gotten the occasional slur thrown at you or snickers from behind in the lunch line, but ironically when people are confronted with facing their actions they become a lot more shy than the persona they were displaying.
“Good morning —, on time as usual.” Your biology teacher, Mr. Molina greets you with a small smile. You return the smile with a lopsided grin slipping a pastel sticker on his desk as you pass by, a common trinket you've given to numerous people throughout your high school years.
Making your way to your designated seat you greet a few more people before the bell rings. To your left, a small voice breaks the silence in the classroom.
“Hey…uhm, — right? Do you have a pencil I can borrow?”
You don’t remember her name immediately, what was it..Bailey? Brielle? Beau..? Bella! That’s right, Bella, the newer student whom you haven’t had the chance to talk to yet, she's always glued to the brooding Cullens, you try to avoid them in the sweetest way possible, they don't seem like a crowd you want to mess with.
“Oh of course!” You fish through your colorful pencil case before finally finding a blue-and-pink mechanical pencil, accompanied by a matching resin Sanrio character dangling at the top.
“...Thanks” she says barely above a whisper. It was almost comically how her dark brown and greenish clothes contrasted with the shining pencil in her hand. You try not to notice but her aura seems to have been dimmed due to the space on her left, it was a fairly sunny day, one of the few ones you ever get in Forks. And the Cullens never show on sunny days, rumors trickle through the grapevine as to why but nothing has ever been confirmed.
A loud throat clear ends the interaction sharply, all eyes focus towards the front. “Alright class, I won't take up too much of your time but as you know we're nearing the end of winter, and spring break is right around the corner. Starting a new unit would do more harm than good so I would like for you all to get into partners—” a loud groan fills the room, an awkward smile pastes your face. Forks is a more introverted and secluded space, partner work is usually a no—go.
“I would like!— for you all to partner up and write a paper on any chapter we have previously learned. This will be due the day you come back from break, giving you slower workers a good two weeks to get all your writing sorted and turned in. Anyone absent has been subjected to automatic partnership with whoever doesn't have a partner by the end of class.”
You notice a nervous look wash over Bella’s face, there were only two people absent meaning working with Edward was immediately off the table.
“Hey, Bella? Did you wan—” Before you could finish your statement multiple students desperately rushed towards you.
“Hey, —, let's work together, yeah?”
“—, please work with me! You're the only person I know enough in this class”
“—, over here!!”
“I'm going to slime myself out if we don't work together!!!”
You were a fairly smart student, but this was just overkill if anything you're more personality than brains! “Uhm, sorry guys, I was going to ask Bella to work with me. Maybe next time!” A few whines and groans filled the air surrounding the crowd before they dispersed to find a new partner.
“You want to work with me?” You flinched slightly from the voice beside you, she didn't sound upset that you immediately used her as a shield but she also didn't seem as pleased as you had hoped, more suspicious.
“Yeah! We haven't had much time to talk because you're usually with your boyfriend, he's your boyfriend right? You seem a bit on the shy side so I was hesitant to approach you.”
A faint blush dusts her cheeks at the mention of the pale man. “Y..Yeah, you could say that, we haven't really put a label on it yet. You've already told the majority of the class that we're partners so I guess we're partners?”
A small cringe makes its way to your mouth, you internally scold yourself for indirectly forcing Bella to work with you.
“Right, so what should we focus on first?”
—
By the end of biology you and Bella both decide to meet at the local library to get immediate feedback on each other's writing. The faster you both finish the project the faster you can go back to being strangers(or so Bella thinks). You leave for your next class with a quiet and polite wave, accommodating Bella’s social skills.
The day slips into a disorientating fuzz. The sunny morning has long gone into a now gray coat of wool covering the once vibrant blue sky. The final bell rings and you slowly pack up your materials. Students fill the hallways escaping through every exit but as you make your way to your locker and eventually the main hallway you can't shake that you've forgotten something, …
Bella! Oh Crumbs you have got to be the worst new friend ever! You pick up your pace, you really hope she doesn't think of you as an unreliable partner for this, in your defense biology was first period, almost seven hours ago and you forgot to set a reminder! You're a busy guy!
Your vision slightly blurs when you make it to the main entrance, huffing you frantically look around the sea of familiar faces. There you soon spot an uncomfortable standing bella. You stumble over to her before you can notice she's in an awkward conversation with a shabby-haired underclassman.
“Bella! Hey— I'm so sorry I totally almost forgot, I promise it wasn't on purpose…” You place your hand on her shoulder, your excuse floats unheard in the air as you suddenly become very aware of the thick tension.
“Bella he’s no good for you!”
“How would you know that Jacob you've hardly given him a chance.”
“I don't need to give him a chance when I already know his kind like the back of my hand; they're dangerous.”
“Oh, you're such a hypocrite!”
“And you aren't?!”
The boy stood at the bottom of the school's stairs, motorcycle behind him, he looked slightly sweaty and distressed. From their bickering, this doesn't seem to be a first. If they weren’t obviously talking about Edward Cullen you’d assume the boy was somewhat of a bigot. You do your best to go unseen but wearing all pastel in a gray town makes you stick out like a lightsaber.
“Who is he?” Shit, Jacob’s voice is sharp as a blade and filled with venom. His gaze is dark and possessive and you almost shrink behind Bella from the way he stares holes into your hand that connects you to her.
“No one, or at least no one you need to be concerned about. Who I'm involved with has nothing to do with you Jacob.” Her words cut the tension in half, his gaze snaps towards her pleadingly. “Bella—”
“Let’s go, —” She makes her way towards her old pickup truck, not even bothered to glance at the boy as you both pass. You try to ignore the gaze that follows you both till you're out of the school parking lot and out of view, down the road.
—
You lie awake in bed late at night recalling your day, you try to not think about the mysterious boy that you've encountered but it’s hard not to when he’s one of the most alluring men you’ve come across in a while. His golden tan skin that subtly glittens in the spring sky. For an underclassman, he was well built, chest heaving under his breaths, arms flexing from anger.
—And his face, God, he was beautiful— even under that sharp gaze his eyes held a passion you don't think you've seen in any other bland man from Forks, it held a clumsy but direct aura. His jaw clenched, flexing under the skin, cheeks red from anger. His slightly chapped lips were wet from his heated debate.
To say you were a lost gay with no play was an understatement. You were a friendly guy but there's a reason you call yourself the token gay.
Flipping over to your side you hug a pillow close to your chest. Your stuffed animals stare mockingly at you, taunting you for being this worked up over a boy you could only attach a first name to. A familiar pulse snaps you out of your daydream, you dare not look down at the perpetrator inside choosing to groan loudly into your pillow while tossing in your bed.
You huff as you settle for a starfish position, pajamas disheveled against your sheets, your face felt warm and your palms clamped under a feeling you dreaded.
—You’d wished Jacob was possessive over you rather than Bella.
“Fuck.”
—
The silence that filled the library was almost unbearable due to your running thoughts. Bella sat to your write typing away about the evolution of humans and prehistoric times, or something. You gulp staring down at your empty paper, you weren't being a very good project partner and you knew it. You couldn't focus, you knew Bella knew, you also knew the other pair of eyes knew as well.
“You haven’t written anything down in the 30 minutes we’ve been here, are you not feeling well?” Edward, he wasn't very pleased when he found out you and Bella were working together. You don't blame him, it seemed like every male who was within ten feet of Bella was naturally drawn to her.
All it took was one unpleasant trip in your mind late at night for him to realize you were absolutely no threat. Loneliness as a queer man will do that to you no one told him to pop in while you were thinking of a hot and heavy make-out session between you and Jacob!!
The next time you saw him, he looked at you slightly disturbed, pitiful, and a bit disappointed. He knew you liked Jacob but he’d also known Jacob was hooked on Bella. (not that he’d ever get her)
“S—sorry, I'm just a bit out of focus, I'm gonna run out and get a coffee. Do you guys want anything?” You rigidly get out of your seat chair whining under you cause a few heads to turn. “No, we're all good, take your time.” You smile at Bella, she’s been progressively understanding the longer you have worked together, not something you'd expect the first time you'd seen her.
The cafe was small, tucked in next to the school. The atmosphere was calming and quiet, you place your order and wait by the counter, feet tapping. Your mind was racing, what was the smoothest way to ask your new friend if their friend who happened to have a crush on them happened to be gay, and completely unrelated was willing to give them your number?
You sigh and rub your hand over your face, you feel your cheeks warm at just the thought of even attempting to tell Bella, you’d only known her a few weeks and didn't want her to close you off after your relationship was just getting closer.
Your hand slowly runs down your face only to be harshly removed by a warm hand gripping your wrist.
“Who the hell are you and how do you know Bella?!”
To say you were taken aback was an understatement, he was a lot more handsome up close, his eyes held the same threatening gaze as before, his lips a bright red from the cold weather. His grip was tight and you couldn't help but wonder what it’d be like to be pinned down while he thrusted in and out of—
“What, too good to speak? I said, "Who are you?!” Your eyes snap from his lips to his chocolate eyes, if this were a cartoon your face would probably be a glowing red while steam came from your ears.
“I—...uhm I’m Bella’s—” His grip tightened, “Bella’s what?” His tone was dominating and intimidating. Before you could respond your order was called.
“S—sorry that's my drink…” You quietly explained, snapping your wrist out of his hand rubbing the bruising skin, he was much taller than you, not to mention bigger, you’d wonder what Bella had done to attract such a man.
You made careful steps to not provoke him further but he was relentless. He followed you from the cafe all the way to the library door. Just before you could reach the handle he jerked your shoulder spinning you around. “You never answered my question.” He spat, “You never gave me a chance.” You responded awkwardly.
“Listen, I’m just Bella’s biology partner; I'm not interested in dating her or anything you can calm down.” You didn't mean to sound as harsh as you did but hearing him this defensive over a girl who’d already had a boyfriend made you quite bitter.
“Yeah, that's what they all say, you listen here cause I'm only going to tell you this once, Bella’s off limits, she's not yours to peer over and definitely not on the market, so stay away from her.” He points a finger accusingly against your chest, the other hand gripped in a tight fist, you wouldn't lie, that hurt. Figuratively and literally, this guy had some sharp nails.
“And she’s yours? Last time I checked she doesn't even like you, not to mention she has a whole boyfriend?? I don't know what kind of three-party relationship you guys have going on but trust, I'm really not interested in being with her.” The words shoot out of your mouth like bullets. You grip his finger, eyebrow furrowed.
“Yeah, that's what they all say before they're suddenly confessing their undying love for her and become inseparable from her—”
“Dude im gay!” The silence is heavy, the words slipped from your mouth before you could catch them. You weren't expecting to come out to a stranger you were having wet dreams about but you didn't know any other way to get him off your tail.
He stands unfazed fists clenching and unclenching, he sighs before opening his mouth. “So people can't be bi anymore?” You were floored, you threw your head covering your mouth as you tried to contain the laughter that threatened to escape.
“What?! I'm being serious, stop laughing.” You huff as you bend over resting your hands on your knees, you tilt your head to look up at him. “You're impossible, no I'm not bisexual, and I'm not interested in Bella. Really, we're just lab partners.”
He stares down at your cheeks a warm red, he is embarrassed. “Whatever…” He huffed pulling the library door open and walking in. “Hey wait up!” You quickly recover realizing he intended to stick around.
—
“Jacob? What are you doing here?” Bella looked up from her computer. “I thought I smelled a dog,” Edward says smirkingly, leaning back. To your surprise, Jacob lets out what almost sounds similar to a growl.
“Do you have a dog, Jacob?” You say confused looking between the three people, you didn't know him that well but you also didn't think he smelled of anything. He flinches back looking a bit frantic, “Uhm…something like that.”
“Hm, okay!” You choose not to push and pull your seat out to begin writing the outline of your essay.
Time seems to fly by after Jacob arrives because you all flow into a conversation, more bickering on Jacob and Edward's part but you were learning the dynamic of their “relationship”, Jacob seemed to yearn and crave Bella’s affection while Edward seemed to gain it more naturally. You feel a bit out of place but Bella always finds ways to rope you back in.
By the time you’ve finished writing your rough draft, it was already dark outside, “I think we're done for the day.” You say leaning back stretching your arms out. “You barely did anything,” Edward says snarkly, “well, until a certain someone showed up.” His remark is short-lived as Bella elbows him. Jacob looks a bit confused but glares at Edward due to Bella’s reaction
Of course they knew, why wouldn't they? Every time Jacob talked you looked at him like a lovesick puppy desperate for attention. You meant to hide it better but it was hard when your mind immediately wanted to keep tabs on everything he said.
“Whatever, man, what about your project? I haven't seen you write a thing since we got here?” You lean forward resting your chin on your palm, Edward matches your energy and replies just as smart. “I finished it already, smartass.” You shoot back gripping the table, “No way!”
“He works fast,” Bella says, grabbing her bag and getting up. As she does both boys seem to follow, leaving you the only one still sitting. You quickly follow realizing they weren't going to wait for you. “Hey hold on!”
—
The next few weeks are a blur. Jacob continues to join in on you and Bella's project sessions, Edward joins as well, obviously. Jacob claims it's to keep an eye on you and Bella no matter how many times you try to explain it, he’s naturally possessive towards her. Whenever you get a bit too close to her a sharp “growl” slips from his throat, or at least that's what you say.
Unbeknownst to you whenever you aren't looking his gaze lingers just a bit too long, his mouth dries whenever he realizes he wasn't growling at you but Bella. His cheeks flush whenever you smile at him.
“Fuck…” He whispers looking at you.
—
“There's a bonfire tonight, you should come, uhm Bella will be there.” You and Jacob were alone, you ran into each other at the grocery store and decided to catch up, it’d been a while since you’d last seen him, he stopped meeting with you and Bella —blamed it on getting busy with his new job.
The air was awkward but in a comforting way, it had been the first time you two were truly alone. (in a friendly way)
Your gaze dropped a little, your heart had fluttered when he invited you, it seemed almost like a “meet my family” date, then he mentioned Bella, and those thoughts faded. You felt stupid for thinking anything romantic would come out of a bonfire but you couldn't help your little heart that yearned for something more.
You hesitate for a second before looking up at him, “I’d love to, send me the information i’ll be there!” you look up to see he's already staring at you, you try not to look down at his lips you really do but you couldn't resist, your eyes flicker down to his lips and for a second the world around you two seems like a blur, all you could focus on was the way his breathing staggered under your gaze lips slightly watered.
Neither of you say anything you hold each other's gaze your bodies feel weightless as you both begin to lean in, his lips are only a nod away from your as your noses bump into each other and slide into place, you can feel his body heat against you as his chest meets yours neither of you break eye contact, his eyes start to droop and just before you make contact—
“hmph?!—” Your hand clamps over his mouth as you launch yourself back. “Jacob, I’m so sorry—” You remove your hand, eyes frantically looking anywhere but his face. “I uhm, I gotta go but will be there tonight see you later!” You step back, almost tripping over your own feet, sprinting away in any direction that wasn't towards him. “Hey, —, wait!—” You don't hesitate, you keep sprinting.
Jacob looked down at his hand, his whole body felt like it was on fire, noises from the street seemed so far away, the only thing his ears focused on was the way your feet slammed against the pavement, the way your breath quickened with anticipation and anxiety. Your scent, god it was almost indescribable how it made his brain fog, you smelled of freshly found honey, the organic kind. So sweet it almost made him instinctively sniff for more. His heart ached as you ran from him, because now, you were his everything. His touch pokes against his cheek and his eyes lock in the direction you’d run.
“Shit…”
—
You turn down a random street and lean against What were you thinking? There’s no way he actually intended to kiss you. I mean he was head over heels for Bella and you both had just gotten done talking about her. Maybe he just got caught up in the moment. You were the one who initiated that kiss right? Fuck, you were gay but the last thing you would want to do is force yourself on someone!
You grip your hair and pull and you sink towards the floor. “I'm so fucking cooked…” You mumble, but as you lean against the wall you couldn't help but think about the way you felt his breath against yours, for a moment you let your mind wander to all the possibilities that could have unfolded. Could've, a hypothetical, because no matter how much you imagine you still sat alone against the wall.
—
Heart thumping loudly against your chest you step out of Bella’s truck, you didn't trust yourself to drive. Your nervous system was going crazy and your eyes looked almost lost.
“Hey, are you okay? Really if you need to go at any time I'm more than happy to take you home, don't push yourself.”
God bless Bella’s soul she was such a sweetheart. You take a deep breath, you stare at your reflection on her truck. You choose a pastel sweater, jeans, a matching hair clip, and Converse, nothing too crazy or out there, just something fitting for the cold weather. “Do you think they’ll like me?”
“— I haven't met a single person that doesn't like you, you sweet, like honey. Also, you kinda smell like it” She laughs softly. You smile at her, appreciating her way of comforting you.
—
The night had been going well so far. You had met a few members of his tribe and they'd shared embarrassing stories, not that getting along with people had been hard for you.
You'd gotten so caught up in the laughter and storytelling you almost didn't notice Jacob staring at you across the fire. He said close to his father and Bella. Just as you predicted, he did think you were Bella.
You sip your drink, whether from sorrow or joy, you very much intend on getting blackout drunk tonight. You quickly turn your head away when his eyes meet yours, pretending to be invested in the story that was being told to you by a very enthusiastic Seth.
—
By the time you were 3 drinks down, you realized it would take a while for you to get drunk off these 2% alcohol drinks. Your hand instinctively reaches for another but a hand grabs your wrist, making the bottle slip from your hand.
You look up only to see a very concerned Jacob.
“You've had enough.” He says sternly and offers you a water bottle inside. You take it reluctantly, “I’m not even drunk…” you try to focus your gaze down but it proves pointless as he kneels to look up at you. “Still, I don't need you tripping over yourself out here, it's dangerous.” His hands creep up the side of your flushed face moving your bangs to feel your forehead. “You feel a bit warm come he—”
“Jacob just stop, I don't need you showing me pity because of what happened, I get it, really. It won't happen again.” You swat his face turning your head to the side. He looks at you defeated, “Why would you think that..?” his voice sounds hoarse, almost like a whimper.
You stand up, “I'm not Bella, Jacob! I can't be the girl of your dreams; I'm a guy, Jacob.” Maybe your actions are a bit exaggerated due to the alcohol, or the underlying feeling that Jacob was only interested in you because he can't be with Bella. You hadn't meant to quiet the bonfire, eyes stare at you from all directions. All holding the same energy, pitifulness. “Fuck, I'm sorry I should really go” You grab the water bottle and turn towards, Bella’s truck.
Bella instinctively gets up to follow behind you. She says a few small goodbyes and catches up to you. “Hey, —, did you mean all that stuff you meant back there?”
You’d like to say you got to properly communicate your feelings with Bella and you both found a healthy way to work through your envy towards her.
“Listen, Bella—” Before you could even begin to explain you feel your body crash into the ground followed by a sharp crack. The air is forced from your lungs and your eyes begin to water from pain.
The following moments are a heavy blur, you hear Bella scream your name, and a few tribe members run towards you. But you could've sworn those figures turned into giant dogs, or something like that, maybe they all collectively tripped?
You feel your body get flipped on your back and when you look up you see Jacob, funny, you remember a few weeks ago when you were in this exact position. Except you were in your bed, and the Jacob above you was just your imagination.
“—, hey, baby stay with me.” His grip is tight, you want to tell him you aren't going anywhere but the words get stuck in your throat. You feel a sharp pain in your ribs every time you breathe, no doubt it's broken.
The last thing you remember is Jacob moving your bangs to kiss your forehead while begging you to stay awake. When he pulls back a deep crimson is covering his lips and undeniably, it's blood.
—
The next time you woke up everything felt heavy, you were in a hospital bed closed by a curtain. “You're awake, I'm Dr. Carlisle Cullen, I believe you've met my son, Edward.” You blink slowly at him, your brain not comprehending the full extent of the situation.
He continues to explain your current situation, “You’ve suffered a grade three concussion, a broken rib, and a fractured leg. You need rest, after a couple of days we’ll get you wrapped up and you can begin physical therapy.” He looks down at the clipboard in his hands and writes something before closing the curtain behind him.
You faded in and out of consciousness for the next few hours, you wanted to rest but every time you closed your eyes you saw Jacob's face. He pleaded in his eyes for you to stay awake, his tears falling against your cheek.
Your fingers twitched against the bed sheets. “Where is he,” you think, “I thought this was some cliché story where I woke up to him by my side…” you stare blankly at the ceiling, it's becoming a hobby.
Your lips are dry as you move your mouth to speak, your head is pounding. “Jacob…” is all you manage to say before you black out.
—
“He’s a mess,” Bella whispers to Edward, the three of them have been sitting in the visiting waiting room when they were informed you woke up, when Jacob was told you weren't physically fit for visiting he lost it. Being held back by both Bella and Edward.
“What the fuck do you mean I can't see him?!” Jacob growls, thrashing against Edward. “He’s not fit for visiting, he can't speak, he’s barely conscious. You can't rush to see him, you'd make his condition worse.”
This quiets Jacob, the thrashing stops, his mood switches from anger to grief. Fuck, he should've gone after you, hell he should've ripped that vampire in half. The terror he felt when he saw swift red curls dash towards you, Victoria, she’s picked you to be her next meal.
The moment your eyes closed he was on her, he shifted and dashed at her head—on. Scratching, biting, pulling; his mind was racing at a pace his pack members could keep up. They attempted to pull him back when they noticed her bloodied figure had vanished into the trees.
The aftermath was a mess, Bella called Edward and told him Victoria had struck, pack members frantically tried to calm Jacob while they waited for a first aid kit. It was no use, before they knew it Jacob had shifted and was carrying you in his mouth towards the ER.
So here he sat, completely hopelessly, only separating you two was a wall and his self-restraint.
—
The next time you wake up Jacob is at your side, awake and hyper aware of his surroundings, every shoe squeak causes him to turn towards the noise and release a guttural rumble.
Your throat is dry, you attempt to speak but it comes out as a cough causing your whole body to spasm. His head snaps in your direction, almost causing whiplash.
“—, fuck— you're awake, hey, it's okay, I'm here.” He attempts to soothe you, clumsily grabs the glass of water on the side table bringing it to your lips. “Here, drink slowly.”
When you finish, hold your hand bringing it to his lips. “You scared the hell out of me, god I'm so glad you're okay.” For the first time since you've woken up, you're able to say a full sentence.
“I'm so sorry, Jacob.” Your body twitches, you're crying, your lips wobbling. Jacob practically launches himself forward to wipe your tears. “—, stop, why are you apologizing?”
“I’m so stupid, fuck, I let my jealousy over Bella get in the way of our friendship and instead of communicating, I ran away like an idiot, twice. I tried to protect my feelings and ended up hurting you!” You were full on wailing at this point, no mistake other patients when eavesdropping. You didn't care, you just needed Jacob to understand, you only needed Jacob.
He wipes your tears with his thumbs attempting to silence your cries, “Look at me —, you don't need to apologize for anything. Baby, you're the one in the hospital; I'm fine, really. There are things I haven't told you either.” Your heart flutters at the pet name and your tears dry. You look at him confused, “You haven't?”
Jacob leans back still holding your hand. “—, I’m a shape—shifter.” You don't answer, you feel like a loading screen, your eyes are wide because he looks serious.
“Sorry…?” There in your little secluded hospital bed, Jacob Black told you everything. From vampires, to shifters, to his tribe's history, to how they're affiliated with the Cullens. He told you how being a wolf affected his emotions.
Most importantly he told you about imprints. “So…the universe is forcing you to love me?” You look down at your connected hands and attempt to retreat, Jacob doesn't allow you to hide from him, he kisses the back of your head and leans on your abdomen lightly to not hurt you.
“That's what it sounds like, huh? To anyone else, maybe, but my love for you isn't forced, it's raw, real, something no imprint could duplicate.” He stares up at you, he holds eye contact with you. Real, everything he says feels unmistakably real. “You mean it?” You say, your voice filled with relief. He stands up and you hold your breath preparing for rejection. Eyes shut tight, heart thumping against your chest.
But the blow never came, instead, he placed a soft kiss against your lips. They were everything you imagined, soft with a chapped edge, warm, and inviting. Your breath hitches against his mouth.
Your eyes shoot open, and you pull back, he looks stunned and a bit hurt before he hears your next words “That was our first kiss!” he lets out a loud laugh before he kisses your cheeks “Jacob!” you whine pushing him away, he doesn't budge. He digs his nose into your cheek nuzzling you affectionately. “I’d prove my love a thousand times over to you if it meant you’d believe it's real, I love you —.” He doesn't move, he whispers this all against your neck, an intimate moment only the two of you would share.
“I love you too, Jacob.”

The next few months come and go, you and Bella finish your project and turn it in while you stay in the hospital still in recovery. You’ve received many “get well soon” cards from classmates, unfavored by a very possessive Jacob.
“You received another 20 and you've only missed a week of school!” Jacob whines from his spot lying next to you head resting on your shoulder. “They're just being polite, stop being so pouty.” He huffs nuzzling into your neck, “You're supposed to be mine.” “And I am.” You kiss his head, massaging his scalp.
Relearning to walk with your right leg was hard, and painful, you started in a wheelchair and slowly made your way to a forearm crutch. And Jacob stayed by your side the entire time, he never made you feel like a burden for not being able to walk on your own. It was hard, trust it was hard. Late nights of you crying in his arms, arguments that ended with tears, it was a painful, slow process but it made your relationship stronger.
By the time you could fully walk on your own, it was the middle of summer. Bella and Edward were distant but caring friends, you understood, they had their own lives. They’d often send messages updating you on their lives. Weekly hangouts became monthly; it was getting harder to reach them and you mourned the friendship you all once had.
—
It was a hot gloomy summer day, Jacob had insisted on coming over only to tackle you in a multi-hour cuddle session. Everything had been going smoothly until you received a text from Bella, causing your attention to shift from him to your phone. Which is how you ended up lying flat on your back, phone in the air, while Jacob hovered over you in the space between your two arms.
It was rare you'd catch Bella’s response immediately and even rarer for you both to be free at the same time for a full conversation. Above you Jacob frowns deeply at you, he hates not having your attention.
He tucks his head into your neck wrapping his arms around your waist. His breath is hot, like always, his natural heat is almost too much for you to bear in this weather. “Hmmm, Jacob, stop! You’re too hot.” You whine into the air, if there was one thing that's become a constant in your relationship it's you whining because of Jacob’s demand for constant attention.
“You're not paying attention to me, honey, look at me. Put your phone down.” He huffs, nodding his head up and down against your neck slowly. “Okay in a second— this is like the first time in ages I've gotten to talk to Bells!” You try to push his face away from your neck, you receive a glare in response.
He hated it when you called her that, he’s such a jealous man! “Jacob, cmon, stop serious—” Jacob lifts his head up knocking your phone out of your hands, he catches it, but he doesn't return it, no, instead he holds it above your head while diving for a kiss.
“Hmp—?” The kiss is hot and desperate, his nose rams into the side of your nose bridge, (which you will for sure complain about later.) you push back for air, the words get lost in your throat as you see a line of saliva connecting you two. He places the phone on the nightstand focusing back on your body.
You were only in a sleeveless undershirt and plaid pants, you didn’t bother getting dressed before he came over. His gaze felt as if he could see right through you and in a moment of embarrassment you pulled your hands to cover your face.
“Stop staring…” He pulls your hands away from your face and nuzzles against it, “I can't help it baby, you're so handsome, all mine.” His hands wander from your wrist to your waist, he slots his thigh between your legs feeling your growing bulge against him. “Look, you're so excited for me,” He whispers in your ear, placing a soft kiss before finding a home in your neck. Licking and marking any exposed skin, which was a lot.
His grip guides you against his thigh slowly, unbearably. Your skin felt like it was burning and suddenly the AC didn't feel like enough. He knew what he was doing, he was teasing you, getting back at you for not giving him enough attention. Well, he got your attention now.
You arched your back against him, rocking your hips against his thigh harder, you felt like you were going to explode. “J—Jacob, stop teas… ing me hm— please I need it so bad.” Your voice came out broken and slurred, he grinned down at you. “Yeah? You want me now don't you, honey?”
Your hips stuttered as you let out a mewl. He knew what that nickname did to you; he’d used it the first time you two were intimate and you had cum on the spot.
“Clothes off, cmon—” He grips your pants, gripping them down recklessly. Your skin is flushed and your tip is already leaking. Leaning back, he looks your body up and down.
One of his hands finds its way to your nipples, the other fumbles to the nightstand drawer, he pulls it open and blindly searches for the lube. He squirts some on his finger and lines them up.
“Look at me honey, I wanna see your face while I finger you.” His blunt tone makes your cheeks warm, you twitch against him when he pinches your nipple. “P—put it i—in already…” Your mouth salivates in anticipation. Body twitching and shudders under just his hands.
The moment he plunges his fingers in it, euphoric. Your body freezes and a silent scream escapes you; whines and moans follow. You don't break eye contact with him, he watches your reaction intently. Eyes darting between your twitching hole and leaking cock. He leans up, pressing a soft kiss against it.
“D—don't do that, if you, keep teasing m—meE! I'm goi—ing to c—cuM!!” Your voice comes out high-pitched.
His fingers press against your walls. Spreading open enough to take his cock. “You think you're ready for me baby?” You nod furiously, hips bucking against his face, cock needy for attention. “Oh, I know baby, you're so hard and leaky, you need help, need me to get you off?” He's not even looking at you, he's inside staring at your angry tip that's leaking against him. “S—stop talking to it!”
He runs his tongue up your cock as he meets you face to face, he tugs his shorts off, and he lines himself up with your hole. “He’s so cute though, pleading for attention down there.”
He pushes himself in one long stretch you both throw your heads back, your hands find his thighs, and they flex under your grip. His hips snap against yours and he groans, he starts slowly making his cock’s presence known to your tight hole.
His hand cups the back of your left leg pulling it against your chest as he moves fast. He thrusts sloppily, deep moans against his throat. “Baby, I wanna cum in you so bad, please let me cum in you, f—fuCk I'm so close” “Cum in me Jake— please!” he rests his head on your shoulder; your hips quicken in pace, “f—fUck—” his hips stutter against you before he presses hard against you. Cum leaks from your hole. “Look baby, you came untouched…” You open your eyes, you feel lightheaded as you look down at your chest. You were covered in your own cum. “You're going to be the death of me, Jacob.” You lean against the pillows hard and look up at him, he smiles flopping against you.
“God, Jacob, you're going to be covered in cum now!” “Oh well…guess we'll have to shower together.” he smiles at you rubbing your sides. “You’re impossible…”

The next time you hear from Bella or Edward, it's through the mail, specifically, an invitation for their wedding. “I didn't think the bastard would ever actually do it,” Jacob says from behind you. “Yeah…” you mumble, staring at the invitation.
Preparation for the wedding had been a breeze; it felt as if the Cullens had been waiting their whole life to plan someone's wedding.
As you and Jacob find your seat you can't help but feel a growing anxiety bubble in your stomach, Bella was Jacob's first love. The wedding carries on and your thoughts don't fade.
His feelings for you are real but do they compare to his past ones for Bella? You grip Jacob's hand when Bella makes her way down the aisle, she looks beautiful. Suddenly you guys aren't high schoolers in biology anymore. You're afraid to look at Jacob's reaction.
But when you turn to look at him, he’s already staring at you. And all your anxiety fades away, because in the moment you know the only thing in Jacob's universe is you, and he’d prove it a thousand times over if he had to.
