I got Ed's new FaunaLux bulb today & set it up immediately!! This one gives off a section of UVA that isn't currently in any of the LED or reptile lights available otherwise (though there is another light coming out soon that is similar). And with the added light, I managed to hit 28-30k LUX for his basking spot!!
Immediately after turning the light on, Ed is more alert, quicker in his reactions, and his enclosure now looks a lot different to him - he's been examining everything since the light went on! His beard has been bright orange too, showing he's alert & interested!
I'm very excited & happy that we got him during a period where reptile research is giving us so much better info on how to take care of these guys, and we have companies working to give us the right equipment to provide better homes for them.
