We still cannot get over how chill this piggy is. I cleaned his cage out while Jack settled on the couch with the boy and some hay. Posy went "yeah, this is good" and proceeded to snuggle SO much & be sleepy. Even getting sleepy eyed when we were giving him scritches. 🥹

We also needed to trim his nails for the first time & he struggled a little and then just flopped right back down after like "no torture, I'm just baby 🥺", which about killed us. We did NOT expect to get a cuddly creature with a guinea pig!

The rats have been hard at work excavating a huge tunnel at the front of their right cage section. The first pic was from last Wednesday, the second from yesterday.

I wish we could give them even deeper bedding but it would get too complicated to clean out, sigh. Maybe someday we'll figure something out? They adore it, and it's been well worth the mess they make!

You wouldn't think a 110g creature could be intimidating until you have a post-torpor tenrec charging at you when you open his cage door. 💀 And no, I do not have pictures bc I rushed to dish up the wet food and bugs while I had Jurassic Park music playing in my head!

We are still a ghost piggy, but he has at least eaten some pellets and hay while I've been sleeping or out of the room.

This pig is so funny. We're at the vet waiting to be seen and he's just chillin. Been nibbling hay the entire ride so far. Trying to find a good spot to lounge on. No concerns about going someplace or new smells. He has hay, so everything is clearly fine.

Phoebe is staying in the bathroom for now, so there's currently a scritches/cuddle tax in order to use the toilet. I was silly & didn't come in prepared, so Joel had to bring me my phone and water bc she's now sleeping in my lap.

So far, so good..... lots of chasing, trying to hump each other, etc. But both are still nibbling at hay, Posy has stopped to groom a couple times. No major fights yet, but still definitely trying to work out who's going to be boss pig. Been about 20 minutes or so I think? Planning to be hanging out here for a couple hours, I think.

Saddest Man in the World, the Toothless Wonder, is home and 6 teeth shorter after his latest dental. Started the day with half his teeth, and now we're down to 14/42. 💀 Red was removed today, yellow is what he still has, and the rest were previously removed. This poor kiddo is only just turning 7 this summer!
