Today is the Head-to-Head finals for Magic Formats! COME ON, COMMANDER!!
Dat's my birthday.
MTG 30 Day Challenge
Day 4: Favorite Deck from your Favorite Format
Well mine comes from the Theros pre release. I was playing the white seed and made a very fast low cost combat trick deck. I had a 4 win streak and then when I faced the number one guy I didn't take a tie but tried my luck and his deck was almost designed to beat mine it seamed. First time I ever really did well in a tourney of any kind. I have even made a Standard deck based around its concept.

Day 3: Favorite Format
Mine would have to be sealed. Its not as complicated as drafting... (which is not complicated really it just doesn't feel right to me) but it removes the part I hate about magic... see my answer to Day 2. Its the only format I ever really do any good in with me beating more than just my friends sometimes. It can be annoying when you open your packs and go "there is nothing here" but as long as you get an idea it can be really fun.
30 Day Mtg Challenge!
Day 3. Favorite Format.
Any limited environment. Be that draft or sealed, I love playing limited. It gives everyone the most even ground possible in a game such as this, as you don't need the most money to be the best. You have to be able to build a deck with limited resources, sometimes with completely random stuff you open up.
Plus, I tend to do fairly well in these formats XD
The best games of Magic I've ever played took place in a draft or sealed event. The ones where you and your opponent both agonize over how to get out of the stickiest situation, and when one wins you both go "Ahhhhh" and laugh and shake hands saying "That was great! And it was only Game 1!"
So yeah. Limited. Love it.
