Hands wrapped around her mouth to keep any sound muffled-- dark eyes stare out from under the table, it was loud, cheerful laughter and screaming from other children ( some twice her size, some who looked ready to devour her in a sea of other people-- she didn't like it ), there's a shaky breath, and her eyes snap shut-- focus, stay calm, breathe, you'll be fine. She hopes she'll be fine, she really hopes so. Her eyes open again, her hands move and plant themselves firmly against the floor as the five year old finally scoots from out from under the table-- looking around with a blank expression that twists into discomfort.
Deafening, too deafening-- too chaotic, it was all meshing together and it was making her nervous ( and she didn't like the feeling-- she didn't like it in the slightest ). She stands, looking around among the children around her, it was painfully noisy, and she needed to find someplace quiet, somewhere where she could focus ( it was all going haywire, too much, too much ) , she would cry-- but crying would not help the situation ( mum said crying might make it worse ), it's a desperate struggle to remain calm before she shifted closer to the table again-- just looking generally anxious, a hand reaching to grip at the fabric of her shirt.
