Fantastic Beasts cut scene

There was a little scene*, just after Queenie and Newt bicker about Ilvermorny vs Hogwarts, where the Goldstein sisters sing their school’s song/anthem.

The only known lines, revealed in an interview:

We stand as one, United Against the Puritans. We draw our inspiration From good witch Morgan…

...

Can we appreciate how the official Ilvermorny anthem is basically a middle finger against 1600 Puritans?

I sure as hell do.

Fantastic beasts post-view ramblings -no spoilers-

Wow.

Guys, wow.

There was, like, a single thing I outright disliked. One. And it was a hair cut.

The rest? Thank you Jo, thank you so much.

Newt is adorable, awkard and somewhere…disconnected from the world?, but so kind and ready to get shit done. Also his own character and not a hero/Harry reharsh.

The other three mains…much love. Jacob is my favorite, but the girls deserve praise as well.

Credence and Graves, now, the last two important characters. I didn’t liked Credence much, even if I can’t exactly pin down the reason. He does his job in the story/plot and does it well, but maybe there wasn’t just enough time to make him a full rounded character. He’s important to the plot but not that much as a character? I need a second view.

Graves? Graves is everything i wanted and want. Keep his charaterization like this in the other movies and I’ll be an happy fan for years. His relationship with Credence is fascinating for many reasons.

Visual and special effects were between “very good” and simply stunning. There’s some real awe to be found in Newt’s bag.

And as a last thing… well. We have a new addiction to the lore and worldbuilding and bloody hell if it isn’t disturbing as hell. Fascinating, neat, i love it, but seriously horrifying (it also add a new perspective to the world-wide decision for hiding and the Statute, as some new light of beloved characters backstories).

The story works, the plot is simple but you guys have to consider how much went into this first movie

Aand… it’s 2:45, am dead tired and basically aspleep as typing.
