Turns out there's a mineral called gregoryite. I always wondered how Gregory fit into the Four Winds when Zelestia and Madeline were clearly given names to match Elusia and Solm

Mauvier's name also matches two themes. Both the fashion brands of Firene and colors used by the Hounds

Having one representative from each nation means they really are the four cardinal winds going in each direction
