The creators of FE3H did put thoughts in how to Euopean name the cast although they did it in a very Japanese way. (I still don't get over the fact that the heir of the most northern region of the continent -who's kingdom crown prince is accordingly named Dimitiri! - is named José. As a middle name...)

But there's just something about Rhea being named Rhea. The name of the mother of the Greek gods yet, she's the exact opposite of the mythological figure. Not a mother but a daughter. Instead of fighting for children to have a chance of survival and actually live in the future, Rhea is the Kronos of the story, fighting so hard to keep the world in a stasis. Because progressing would mean giving up the chance to conjure up again the past. She doesn't birth anything but creates an artificial being. Not to create anything or even anyone new but to resurrect her mother.

She's never motherly, always a child yearning for a parent.
