Art Highlights of 2021
my awakeningsona Gem that I’m reusing again as a long ranged fighter! I don’t know much about his story yet but he’s gay for everyone.
I've been playing a lot of fire emblem awakening lately, and I decided to make a new character! Her name is Lydia and she wields lances (although I'm playing with the idea of her using wind magic) and she's a bubbly positive addition to the shepherds, but she lacks experience as a fighter as well. I kinda wung it with the clothes but they turned out OK imo?
My fe awakening oc. Their timeline takes place i wanna say twenty four years after the game? Riahl and Maevys did not turn out symmetrical like everyone else and for that i am sorry. They all have their own story sets but i won't list em here.
oh yea did i mention i love fire emblem
old art of my fea tactician ruka who is very important 2 me
Another batch of OC’s! My creativity has been focused elsewhere lately and I hadn’t actually gotten this done with. Next will include Vaike’s sons and Stahl’s!
Frederick - Morgan
Unlike Jayden, Morgan is not driven or knightly. He's as cheerful as they come, and perhaps even a little spoiled at times. Frederick was a really caring and attent father, after all.
Jayden often comments about the fact that her brother being so lighthearted often helps her take a huge weight off her shoulders, but some don't agree with her outlook. Morgan's often criticized for his being so lax and he's been told off several times by both his mother and his father, though he shows no intentions of mending his ways.
He strongly believes that, even if the whole world is upset, it is his duty to remain cheerful and lighthearted. He must. Without him there to lighten everyone's burden, or to at least serve as everyone's sounding board, then people would probably just explode, and so, he's kept a smile glued to his face at all times, despite everything that he's gone through.
What nobody, but Jayden, knows, is that Morgan actually holds back a lot and has become someone who gets hurt rather easily. He often cries all in his lonesome or using Jayden's shoulder.
Jayden does not chastize him for his lax attitude, but she does tell him from time and time again that he should stop doing what he does, only listening to everyone's problems and never worrying about his own. He tells her that, without him, then the army would be full of Geromes and Severas.
In battle, Morgan uses tomes and staves, though his role is more supportive since that's what he prefers to do. Just like before, Morgan serves as Lucina's tactician, and his strategies often involve a degree of oddly well-thought plans that often border with the absurd. Per example, he won't start planning UNLESS he's got a complete map of the battlefield, and knows that every access route is completely safe. He'll also go ahead of everyone else and clear the path of peebles and rocks.
Lon'qu - Lin'fao
Lon'qu's daughter, Lin'fao. The only other woman that Lon'qu can handle without trembling like a leaf. The same... cannot be said about Lin'fao, though.
Lin'fao's hair is quite long, reaching the middle of her back. She keeps it straight and has little interest in taking care of it in any way, and despite that, she is still the one with the prettiest hair in the whole army. She inherits her hair color from her mother.
Lin'fao inherited her father's deathly glare and quiet demeanor, and her fine face features and odd clothing often confuse people into thinking that she is actually a helpless victim. She is not.
A brave warrior with unparalleled skill in swordsmanship, Lin'fao believes herself to be one of the best, even though the best has been reduced to just a handful. She fears nothing and will face anything head on, however, when faced with a man... she's just like her father with women.
Lin'fao, mighty Feroxi warrior and daughter of a great warrior like Lon'qu, becomes a fidgeting mess when faced with a man outside of battle, perhaps even inside of a battle. She has a strange sixth sense that allows her to feel men, and even if they are behind her, she will merely turn around and stab them, no questions. This has caused several misunderstandings and most men in the army avoid her to avoid being stabbed.
This fear, unlike Lon'qu's, is something she was born with, though she seemed fine around her father and sibling in the future.
Lin'fao was trained by her father. She trained both her mind and body to become a mighty warrior. Lon'qu was clear since the beginning with her. It didn't matter that she was a woman, or that she was scared of men, Lon'qu would train her to become a warrior that trascends gender and fear. Lin'fa liked training, despite how harsh her father was.
Of course, her training never really did end.
Lon'qu and her mother's sudden death left the girl all alone with her sibling, with only a sword to remember her father with.
It was the one and only time the girl allowed herself to cry, before becoming the serious and sharp warrior she is now.
Never again would she allow herself such a pitiful display, or so she tells herself.
She helped train her sibling for a bit, but after a while she told them to 'find their own battle style, something they can be proud of'. This doesn't sit all that well with her sibling, of course.
The notice of them going back in time to save the future came as a horrible surprise to her. She was against it, of course. There would surely be more men in the past, not to mention that she'd also would have to fight against them if they went back.
She was finally convinced by Lucina to go back in time as well when she said that she needed her skill with the sword to finally end the threat of Grima. Lin'fao also resolved to overcome her fear of men once they traveled back to the past when men were more common both inside the battlefield and off of it.
Once she came back to the past and first confronted Lon'qu and the other Shepherds, her first action was to swing her sword against Lon'qu, who was able to expertly parry her blade, after identifying her move to something similar to a move of his own. Baffled by this, Lon'qu meant to ask her about her move, but Lin'fao was quick to scurry away
Lon'qu had his wife ask the girl where she had come from and, with her usual cool demeanor, the girl explained that she had traveled back in time with Lucina, and that she is her mother, and that Lon'qu is her father. Her mother said that she resembled her father a lot, even in their fear for the opposite sex.
Lin'fao's supports with her mother are on the two of them seeing how Lin'fao can become more comfortable around men, and her mother often suggests ridiculous solutions, which Lin'fao is quick to follow without hesitation. When her mother noticed that Lin'fao was a bit naive, she decided to stop teasing her and just tell her that she was only playing a bit with her. Lin'fao then felt slightly betrayed by her mother, and turned a cold shoulder on her. Her mother, worried that her daughter might have actually come to hate her due to her teasing, goes to her with the intention of apologizing, but Lin'fao beats her to the punch. She apologizes for not being able to take a little teasing and says that she overreacted, saying it was most definitely not the attitude of a warrior such as her. Her mother says that the one that should be apologizing is her and the two are able to make peace with each other without problems.
In her supports with her father, Lin'fao and Lon'qu encounter each other several times, but neither of them is ever able to speak up what they want to since the two of them are too afraid of each other to ever do so. Lin'fao, though, approaches Lon'qu requesting a match with him. Lon'qu questions why she would want to do such a thing, but accepts nevertheless, saying that no matter the opponent, he cannot, will not, stay his blade. Lin'fao, though powerful enough to go head to head against Lon'qu, lost to her father spectacularly. She would not yield, though, and started visiting her father constantly to ask for duels. After a while, Lon'qu asks his daughter why she keeps visitng him and requesting duels, and she answers that she just wanted to train with him, but was unsure of how to even talk with him. It is not until they are done talking that Lon'qu notices that both of them are already able to talk with each other without even stuttering. Though it is not his style, Lon'qu does mention that that must be what it is like to have a daughter whom she loves and respects as a warrior.
Lin'fao's relationship with her sibling is a bit more complicated, and her supports with them have the two of them talking about seemingly trivial things, but her sibling almost always remains distant. After a battle, Lin'fao approaches her sibling to scold them on being too distracted while they were on the battlefield. They accept that fact, but they blame it on them, saying that they did not have the same training with their father as Lin'fao did, and that they cannot stay cool and collected like her when they are in danger (something similar happens with Gerome or Kjelle, though they argue saying that they can indeed be fazed by the imminent danger they face at times, and that they are unable to remain calm at all times). Before Lin'fao can argue her case, their sibling leaves. In their next encounter, Lin'fao stops her sibling before they can leave again, by force if necessary. She asks them if they are still resenting her for stopping training them. They say that isn't exactly it, but that it still weighs heavily on their mind, saying that maybe they weren't good enough to be trained by the first daughter of the great warrior Lon'qu. In one rare occasion in where she laughs, Lin'fao pats her sibling's head and calls them 'stupid'. She then explains that their fighting styles were just too different for Lin'fao to teach them, and that they are still one of the greatest warriors she's ever seen, and that she is glad to have trained them even if it was for a short time and she is also glad to be able to call them her sibling.
Like her father, Lin'fao goes into battle with a single sword with a curved blade, though she keeps two scabbards with their swords on her hip at all times, one being the sword she got from her father, one that she has no intention of parting with ever.
As Robin's daughter, Lin'fao bears the mark of Grima in her nape.
Lon'qu - Morgan
Morgan is as cheerful as always, but when he is in the middle of a battle, none wants to be at the other end of his blade.
Everybody agrees on the fact that Morgan resembles his mother, and quite a lot in fact, but if he inherited anything from Lon'qu is his deathly glare and his ability with the sword.
Lin'fao's even asked the boy for lessons in glaring, since it seems to alter the enemy's state of mind, however he says that he does not do it on purpose, and that it only comes natural to him. Lin'fao often comments on how jealous she is of Morgan's deathly glare.
Morgan likes to crack jokes whenever possible and when he is near both his father and sister. The two of them almost never smile, but when they do, Morgan always says it is a 'pretty nice smile', a smile they should show more often. He's made a point of restricting everything to only jokes though, since the last time he pulled a prank on them was probably one of the scariest times of his live, and the first he ever thought of a tactical retreat.
Lin'fao and Morgan get along pretty well, for siblings, that is. After clearing up any misunderstandings there could have been between the two of them, Morgan started to ask for duels between the two of them. The two are so good with the blade that their match score is 55 wins for Morgan, 55 wins for Lin'fao and 54 draws, and one match interrupted by Robin, which she ended up 'winning', or so the siblings say.
In battle, Morgan uses a blade as deftly as his father, and is a prodigy magician just like his mother. So, he vastly prefers the use of Levin Swords or such when he is in the field. He carries a curved blade and a thunder magic tome with him too, just in case he needs to use them if his Levin Sword ever breaks during a battle.
Like the other times, Morgan is Lucina's tactician. Ever and each one of his plans are designed to be precise and exact, a surgical strike to the heart of the problem. If it cannot be made in 10 moves or less, then Morgan will not give a plan the time of the day.
Candice/Gerome S support
Candice: Are you going to tell me where we’re going?
Gerome: I’m calling in that favor you owe me.
Candice: Could you be any more vague? No, wait, don’t answer that. I remembered who I was talking to.
Gerome: We’re here.
Candice: And where exactly is…whoa. Gerome the view up here is amazing! The camp looks so small. It’s so weird to see the fields this green, and you know not burned and covered in dead bodies.
Gerome: Glad you like it.
Candice: So what exactly is this favor?
Gerome: Relax.
Candice: Uh?
Gerome: You’ve been working hard and I’ve noticed that you’ve been getting up earlier than usual for rounds. I don’t want you to get sloppy out on the battle field so do me a favor and relax.
Candice: I appreciate the thought but I’m fine. Really.
Gerome: Just sit.
Candice: Fine.
[A few minutes pass.]
Candice: *relaxed sigh* Hey Gerome?
Gerome: Yeah?
Candice: I never got the chance to thank you.
Gerome: What for?
Candice: What not for? How about for not killing me when I took Minerva from you that time, for always having my back in battle, even though I never asked for it, keeping me company on rounds, giving me space when I need it, hiding me from my father, doing things like this for me… Do I need to go on? I totally could by the way.
Gerome: There is no need to thank me, or go on.
Candice: But I do! And this doesn’t count as your favor. You can’t make it something for me.
Gerome: Fine. Then answer a question for me.
Candice: Sure, anything.
Gerome: Will you continue to stay by my side in both war and peace?
Candice: Gerome, it kind of sounds like you’re proposing to me.
Gerome: I am.
Candice: Really?
Gerome: *nods*
Candice: Oh gods, you have a ring and everything. What is this thing made from? I’ve never seen anything like it.
Gerome: I crafted it from one of Minerva’s scales.
Candice: I didn’t know you could make jewelry.
Gerome: Your father taught me actually. He insisted you have something more meaningful than just something that was bought.
Candice: So that’s why he hasn’t been bothering me lately.
Gerome: You haven’t answered my question.
Candice: Of course I will! We’ve already been through hell together so anything else is going to be cake.
And that’s the last of these two. They were so much fun to write. I have no idea who’s going to be next for supports but we do have something special planned.
