Training - Jaune x Pyrrah

RT Secret Santa Wishlist for narutochic0 - post #1! Sorry it's a bit late, I've been so insanely busy this month, and the other 2 prompts I'm filling aren't ready to be posted yet. I will finish them soon I promise <3 also this is my first RWBY fanfic ever soooo bear with me ^^;

Prompt: Jaune Arc/Pyrrah: During Pyrrah’s training embarrassingly cute things happen.  not necessarily smut or anything, just cuteness :3

“Jaune, stay focused!”

“Right! Hyahhhh!”

Up on that little abandoned rooftop of the Beacon dormitories, Pyrrah was training with Jaune like they had been for many nights now. Jaune charged towards his sparring partner once more, only to be tossed to the ground within seconds. He grumbled and rubbed the back of his neck.

“Sorry!” She called, while walking up to him.

“It’s no good, Pyrrah. I’m never gonna be good enough to knock you down.”

“I wouldn’t say that. You’ve gotten much better over the course of our training!” She knelt beside him and gave him a soft smile.

He tried to return it, but could only drop his head and sigh. “I’m still hopeless.”

Pyrrah’s smile faded as she put a hand on his cheek. “Jaune. Never say that. Confidence in yourself is half the battle! If you don’t believe in yourself, you’ll never be able to win. So don’t say that, alright?” She lowered her hand and entwined their fingers in a strong yet comforting grip. “Besides, if I didn’t think you were capable of being a fighter, I wouldn’t be here helping you. But I know that you have the heart of a Hunter, and you can do anything you set your mind to. You have the true potential for greatness.”

Jaune stared up at her, a slight blush on his cheeks. “Do… do you really think so?”

She nodded. “I really do.” She got up and used the hand she was holding to pull him up as well. “So what to do you say? Are you ready to try it again?”

Jaune took a deep breath and nodded with a more confident grin. “Let’s do this!”

Pyrrah backed away, and they took their stances. Jaune remembered what she had taught him: stay focused, look for an opening, act quickly. He took the first move and swung his sword to her right. She deflected it with her shield and he spun around behind her. He circled around to her left and lunged forward with his shield. His move connected, but they were both sent toppling to the ground. Before he knew it, they were lying there on the ground, him on top of her, and her smiling brightly beneath him. He blushed at the awkward position and sat up a bit before realizing that he had succeeded in knocking her down.

“I… I did it! Pyrrah I did it!” He yelled, tackling her once more in an embrace. They both giggled and Pyrrah grabbed his face.

“That was wonderful Jaune! See, I told you confidence is the key.”

He chuckled. “Well, my dad always said that all girls look for in guys is confidence.”

They smiled at each other and stayed there for a few moments, each enjoying being so close to the other.

Guys I feel like sharing that me and my classmates are really getting excited for this new web series we're going to produce.

So the series is basically going to make fun of how ridiculous gender roles are. It takes place in a world where gender roles are swapped. Patriarchy is replaced with matriarchy. Guys put girls into the friendzone. Women drink whiskey and beer and men drink margaritas and martinis. And plot of the series is about a guy looking for a girl to date that isn't stereotypical, and doesn't care that he isn't either. He likes football and he wants a girl that is ok with that. 

I pitched the idea thinking they wouldn't get it or wouldn't like it but they did and now we're all like really into it and I seriously cannot wait. Hell we're already thinking about a second season, even though our teacher is only requiring one season. He says he's never had students so excited to do a web series and I just feel like this could be great <3 I plan to make a tumblr and facebook page for it soon to spread the word because I feel like this could even actually be popular and to promote it and stuff. 

Anyways yes I am excited :)

Just a Game

Summary: Slender was just a dumb, albeit terrifying game, right? So why have strange things been happening ever since Michael and Gavin played it together?

Notes: Guess who’s been watching too much marble hornets and tribetwelve so she can't sleep? this girl~ I got frustrated searching for slender related mavin fics so I made my own.(yo if you know of any other good slender mavin fics message me please ^^)

Warnings: language, RPF, maybe more in later chapters(if there are later chapters)

“MICHAEL RUN!”

“GAVIN!”

Screams. Static. A blank face amidst the distortion.

“SHIT! YOU THREW THE MOUSE YOU FUCKING MORON!”

“I’m sorry Michael- ow!”

Michael pushed gavin to the floor and wrestled with him for a few minutes, before the two broke out into laughter.

“Well that was great.”

“Speak for yourself Michael! That game was bloody terrifying!”

They had just recorded a new Rage Quit in a popular game called Slender, which had easily scared both of them out of their wits. Michael, however, scoffed and helped Gavin up as he stood.

“Eh, yeah. Totally unrealistic though.”

“Hm?” Gavin sat at his desk and looked up curiously.

“I mean, who the fuck would be wandering around the fuckin forrest alone in the middle of the night, then proceed to go after all the freaky pages that just make Slendy show up? I’d get the fuck out of there.”

Gavin grinned. “Yeah, whatever. I know you were scared.”

“Shut the fuck up.”

After finishing up at work, Team Nice Dynamite hit up a local bar for some more drunken shenanigans. Drunken Shenanigans that lead to a little improvised sleepover at Michael’s apartment.

“MIcooool!” Gavin slurred as he was pulled up the stairs of the apartment complex. “I’m tired micoool.”

“Shuddup and stop whining, jesus Gavin.” Michael pulled out his keys and they entered the shadowed living room of his home.

“Arsehole.”

Michael dumped the hiccupping brit on his couch and sat down beside him. He would’ve more than likely stayed there and just fallen asleep had it not been for his phone ringing in his pocket to alert him of a new text. He shuffled to sit up and pulled out the phone, staring at the message with confusion.

Unknown Number 1:32AM

“The fuck?” Michael murmured sleepily.

“Whot’s wrong micoool?” Gavin lifted his head from the couch to look at his boy.

“Nothing, just some weird fuckin text.”

“Lemme see!” Gavin grabbed the phone out of his hands before he could react. “Not just a game? Creepy.”

“It’s probably just someone from the office messing with us since we played slender today. Assholes.”

Gavin giggled. “Are you still scared, Mikey Wikey?”

Michael shoved Gavin lightly. “Shut your face you mingy little prick. I’m not scared by some stupid game, dumbass.”

“But it’s not just a game, right?” Gavin mischieviously grinned while wiggling the phone. Upon seeing Michael’s disapproving face the boy erupted into a fit of giggles.

“Alright, I’m done with you. Go the fuck to sleep.” Michael got up and grabbed a pillow and blanket from the closet, tossing them unceremoniously at Gavin before turning towards his room.

“Night Michael!”

Michael smirked. “Night gavvy.”

Things were peaceful for a while. It was quiet, and Michael was snoring softly. His peaceful sleep, however, was rudely interrupted after only a few short hours. Gavin screamed. Michael was up in an instant, running to his living room in a panic.

“Gavin! You ok? What’s wrong?” He asked loudly, turning on the blinding lights and looking around the room.

“It was him, Michael! I saw him! He was right there!” Gavin spluttered, curling himself up further in his blanket.

“Who? Where?”

Gavin got quiet as he pointed at the open closet door. Michael searched it, to no avail.

“Tell me who it was Gavin.”

He didn’t say anything. Michael kneeled in front of him on the couch, placing a hand on his knee reassuringly.

“It… it was a guy in a suit…”

Michael took a second to figure it out. “Are you fucking kidding me.” he said flatly.

“He was there Michael, I swear!”

“You’re still makin fun of me for getting jumpy at that dumb slender man game? At 4 in the fucking morning?”

“No, Michael-”

“You fucking prick.”

“I promise, I’m not joking!”

Michael stared into Gavin’s eyes. He didn’t even see a trace of humor. It was all fear and worry with a hint of apology. Michael just stared for a long minute, then sighed.

“Alright. Fine. I can tell you’re scared. You’re not that good of an actor.”

Gavin’s lips upturned a tiny bit.

“But I’m still mad at you. It was probably just a bad dream, ok? No one is there.”

Gavin didn’t look too comforted.

Michael sighed again, then looked away. “You… you can sleep with me in my bed if it’ll make you feel better.”

Gavin perked up and nodded furiously.

“Jesus, what time is it? We have to leave in just… a few hours…” Michael’s sentence was abandoned by a confused silence.

“What is it?”

Michael was staring at his phone which he had pulled out to check the time. It really was almost 4, and on the screen there was a text staring back at him mockingly.

Quickly Michael put away the phone and put on a smile. “It’s nothing. Just some twitter update. Come on.” He didn’t want to scare Gavin further.

Gavin was curious, but got up and followed Michael to his room. They got under the blankets and adjusted pillows. They had their backs turned to the other.

“Good night Michael.”

“Night.”

“Oh and Michael?”

The auburn curls shifted when Michael turned his head a bit. “Yeah?”

“Thanks. For letting me sleep here. And calming me down.”

Unknown to Gavin, Michael smiled softly as he closed his eyes.

“No prob, gav.”
