Peter's Wonderful World of Music from Fave (February 1968)

As all his fans know, Peter Tork is a groovy comedian and actor, but his first and last love is music. And here, in his very own words, he shares with you his super-ideas and thoughts about that lovely outasite world!

It's hard to understand music only if you're a "hard" person. If you're a comfortable person, then all music can relate to you. It's just a matter of getting used to it...

"Grooviest Party of the Month:

Steve Brandt threw a post-wedding reception for Sharon Tate and Roman Polanski that rocked Hollywood.  The big celebrity turnout of young actors and actresses made this the most colorful party I've seen in a long time.  Barbara Parkins stole the show even among all the beautifully dressed girls there—and there were plenty in very mod costumes.  She wore a darling pink chiffon mini and had her hair long.  She looked all of 16 and there was a glow about her.  She was with a new boyfriend, Lou Adler, whose marriage to Shelley Fabares is on the rocks.  Barbara Streisand was there and she dispelled two rumors by her appearance.  First she knocked the 'trouble in the marriage' rumors right out of the box by coming with her husband, Elliot Gould, and they had their arms around each other all night.  And Barbara was happier and friendlier than ever.  She chatted with a lot of the guests, which is unusual for Miss. S.  I was enchanted with the way she walked up to Micheal Crawford, and said, "Hello Dolly." Faye Dunaway was stunning in a black cape over a short mini and wearing a beret a la Bonnie and Clyde.  She was hand-holding with her fiance, Jerry Shatzberg.  She was leaving the night for Italy and she was absolutely ecstatic over her nomination for the Oscar.  These two are just crazy about each other and I expect them to marry very soon.  Roy Thinnes and Lynn Loring were two of the most attractive people there.  And I don't want to forget the bride, Sharon, who wore a very, very mini dress in wild colors.  Her husband was also really something to see.  He wore a navy turtleneck and beads around his neck which he flipped all night.  It was a real mod wedding party."—Dorothy Manners, in her gossip column published in the May, 1968 issue of Modern Screen magazine.
