12 years ago, on February 19, 2010, Johnny Depp and the cast of “Alice in Wonderland” attended the “Alice in Wonderland: Great Big Ultimate Fan Event” at Hollywood & Highland Courtyard, in Hollywood, California.

On that night, Johnny attended the event with Tim Burton, Helena Bonham Carter, Mia Wasikowska, Anne Hathaway, Matt Lucas, Crispin Glover, Michael Sheen.

The “Alice in Wonderland: Great Big Ultimate Fan Event” gathered thousands of fans, most of them all dressed up as the characters, to enjoy for free 5 musical acts from the movie’s official soundtrack “Almost Alice”, along a visit of Tim Burton who introduced the cast who also gave interviews. Those who attended the event also had opportunities to win prizes and watched a sneak-peek of the movie, which was released two weeks later, on March 5.

The design of the sunglasses were inspired by the first man in outer space, Yuri Gararin, and you can really see the inspiration in the design.

The top of the piece, meanwhile, follows the natural curvature of the face so as to cover the wearer's forehead and is meant to symbolically protect the brain and the mythical "third eye." The limited-edition piece is part of Kremer's Fall/Winter 2010 collection, which is dubbed "The Plastic Eating the Natural." In keeping with this theme, then, Kremer describes the mask-like motif as "eating" the wearer's face, alluding to this notion of man as part human, part sci-fi machine.
