The election hasn't been called yet, and neither has my state, but the standings in my "election-deciding" state are making me downright sick.

After everything that has happened over the past eight years, this is where we are? The lives needlessly lost to the reckless initial handling of COVID-19. The reveal of Project 2025, which endangers the rights and freedoms of Americans everywhere. The treasonous dealings with Vladimir Putin. The nepotism and conflicts of interest. The illegal possession of classified documents. Did none of that mean anything?

I thought we were better than this.

And to the people who voted against Harris and other Democrats because they "aren't leftist enough?" This wasn't the time or the place for that. I want to live in a world where I can vote for who I truly like rather than against who I hate more. But we need to work together and get the fascists completely out of the picture before we can do that. The stakes are too high to act on your own whim at this time.

NOAA, the Department of Education, and the rights of women and minorities are about to be placed on the chopping block. It didn't have to be this way. It wasn't supposed to be this way.
