My heart in resting time.
I can't fall asleep because I keep thinking about the feeling I get when he randomly puts his hand on my chest to feel my heartbeat. I can be in the middle of a sentence; ANY sentence. Like about what I did this afternoon; COMPLETELY non-heart related and he just decides to place his hand casually and firmly over the left side of my chest. He doesn't say a thing, and neither do I because it makes me completely lose my train of thought. He just feels my heart for about 10 seconds until he feels the pace quicken.Then he let's go and giggles as I try to pull myself together. Just thinking about this spontaneous gesture is making my insides flip flop.
