— a dream
minho could only watch in wonder at you in the nighttime, you gazing at the stars as if they were your own brethren. the boy certainly seemed to think so.
you glanced over your shoulder, catching his piercing stare, as he layed back on the grass stretching for miles and miles, swaying in the midnight breeze. although it was dark, his lips curved at the burning of your cheeks. his smile made your entire soul shiver.
“a dream,” minho breathed out, and you thought you misheard him, imagining the air twisting his words. his stare never faltered, however, as he sat up, locking his hands over his knees. “a happy dream for the melancholy.
“that’s what you are to me.”
your breath abandoned travel in your throat, and you swore what pricked your eyes was because of the wind, and not what he uttered in the wild fields of a nowhere haven.
falling, you kneel in front of minho, trying to catch his hands but he knew of your plans, already a step ahead. his soft fingers traced your skin, until they found home upon your face, cupping your jaw.
minho’s whisperings altered the very workings of your heart.
“i hope I never stop dreaming.”
and his lips enveloped yours in a sweet, slow waltz, a moulding so perfect you wished this dance would last forever and a minute.
the night breeze assisted the shivers, spiderwalking your spine and you held onto him, afraid that he would slip from your fingers. a foolish fear, when minho reassured you through the hypnotic movement of his lips that he will never let you go.
how could you not believe him?
“minho...” you murmured onto his mouth, and his humming was like music to your ears, opening your own mouth so he would continue his dance, raise the stakes and show the audience of stars what a true waltz was.
the boy obliged to your silent pleading slithering his tongue and listening to the rewards, bubbling out of your throat. he smiled against your lips, progressing his dance until he retracted, panted breathing fanning your mouth.
“a dream,” minho rasped out once more, leaning his forehead against yours. “an exquisite dream, you.”
as he returned to your famished lips, you only mumbled in agreement, heart singing at his mere actions.
you hoped you never stopped dreaming too.
