i don't think i've ever seen Prince of Egypt though (i think it's a dreamworks movie based on a bible story?). do you have any thoughts about it?

yes it’s based off the story of Moses in the book of Exodus in the Bible, and it’s a damn good adaptation. It’s actually one of my favorite movies. It’s probably because I’m a church kid and it was one of the movies we’d watch continuously in the cubby after church club on sundays and Thursdays and it just stuck with me. The music, the interpretation, the way it doesn’t shy away from the absolute horror that is the book of Exodus, the animation, the relationships between characters, the story telling, it’s all just really beautiful and so memorable. At least, for me it is. It also, I guess, gave me a sense of hope as a kid and now it just reminds me of that hope and good memories I have attached to the movie. You should totally watch it!! It’s available on Hulu, or you can always find an alternative streaming service (coughpiratecough). But yeah! I also really like that it isn’t all about God and His might or whatever, it’s about the relationships and the feelings of the events. It’s more in the point of view of Moses and the people than of some third person or diety pulling strings. HSHDJFJJS I just get really excited thinking about this movie. It just brings such joy to me. I literally cry and get goosebumps when I hear “Through Heaven’s Eyes” because that song literally saved me once or twice when my mental state was shit in middle school and highschool and I had, ahem, close calls. But yeah, it’s just great and I really recommend it to u
