Do you carry a camera everywhere? Sometimes, it depends on the weather.
Do you picture a photo before you take it, or just shoot? I picture a photo’s final result if I have a very clear idea of what I am trying to achieve, otherwise I take snapshots intuitively.
Who do you most admire? The people who are doing the work they love.
What did you want to be when you were younger? A painter or a poet.
Where are you now? London.
What makes a great photo? Emotion.
Film or digital, why? Film, it allows me keep more distance between the photographs and myself. And also there is a substantial difference in the quality and details of film versus digital images.
Do you have any other creative hobbies/occupations? I’m currently a student at the moment, but I’ll graduate this summer. I’m also a singer songwriter.
Favourite possession? My pillow, it was made of green tea powder by my mother. I took it with me from China when I came to London.
Regardless of money and time, where would you most like to visit and photograph? I would like to go to Scandinavia.
What did you have for breakfast? A salmon and cream cheese Bagel.
What would you like to have accomplished within the next year? Hopefully I could find a suitable studio for continuing the work on my project, and have a job that could support my artistic practice.
