It wasnt always hateful. It didnt start as hateful.

I've mentioned in passing before that theres Blackquill in Graves. Maybe I can expand on that. I am a firm believer that Peng has a crush on Macaque, and though Macaque was devoted to her marriage... She does things that could imply otherwise.

After Wukong's imprisioment under the mountain Macaque and Peng get closer. Peng would never admit outloud that they were taking their chances now that wukong was away. Macaque on the other hand? With Azure and Yellowtusk firm on their believes that Wulong had been killed or had given up to the celestials, she has no leverage to use on the team. But there is someone on he team that would still listen to her, if only she gave them the time of day.

Macaque seduces Peng in order to have them on her side on meetings with the Brotherhood. She is not expecting to form any connections, but Peng is not the only one hurt when they figure out what was happening. Needless to say, some of their hatred is justified, and the both of them end up making deals they'll regret.
