thanks guys, hearing impartial advice helped. I need to own up even if they don’t care or I’ll carry it around forever and when I least expect it (like winning a smash bros tournament) that little voice will pop up and say “hey remember when you said that thing” and it’s like I didn’t even win a smash tournament because all I’m thinking about is that time I fucked up. And if I ever get good enough to win a smash bros tournament I really want to savor that moment.

I moved into the new apartment a week ago :D The neighbors so far are really nice and I don’t live in constant fear of having my knees broken with a lead pipe. Speaking of which, we did find out the reason the perps (official police talk ok) targeted us. They were convinced my roommate threw water on one of them (she didn't - it was someone who lived above them) which is stupidly weird because we keep to ourselves and never hung around the complex. But I guess to them it was a great idea to bang on our door and windows, try to pry our lock open and attempt to lift our windows.

Thank you guys so much. The service we had for him back in May was beautiful, it was actually my first time seeing a military burial and that was way more emotional than I expected.

Thanks! It was scary - so scary that my best line of defense was to grab a blunt knife from the kitchen drawer and call the non-911 police line. (like a pro)

Were you able to get any information from that person to file a report? Someone from around here maybe? Also congrats on the job! Hope great things happen on your side.

Yes - we called the police pretty fast. Luckily (or unluckily?) they lived in our complex so when the police showed up they found them in their apartment. Actually, one of the officers seemed to have a really good idea of who was behind the whole thing... I have no idea if the police filed a report, I hate to say it but they were unhelpful and seemed bored by the entire thing. Like, I get that they didn’t show up to someone holding a severed foot and saying “they went that-a-way!” but they weren’t just casually talking outside our window either. Anyway, thanks Mura! Things are much better now.
