*In the drawing room, Felicity is sitting in an armchair with Elizabeth on the floor between her legs, brushing her hair*

Elizabeth: *deadpan* When I was saying to Penny that I wished you'd spend as much time with me as you do with her...this isn't quite what I had in mind, Lissie.

Felicity: *gathering her brushed hair together in one hand* It isn't? And I thought you were just talking to yourself...which colour ribbon would you like?

Elizabeth: Umm...blue. No, yellow. And I wasn't talking to myself - at least with Penny I know she's really listening to me, even if she never answers.

*Felicity ties Elizabeth's hair into a ponytail with a great big bow*

Felicity: Where's Nan?

Elizabeth: See what I mean? Always changing the subject... *sighs* I think she's still with Nellie, learning to sew.

Felicity: Ah, good; that'll keep her out of our hair for a while yet, then.

Elizabeth: Hair? *remembers the previous conversation* Oh yes; and another thing Fliss, you know perfectly well ---

*Felicity unexpectedly smooches the side of Elizabeth's now exposed neck. Elizabeth's face goes red and her eyes widen*

Elizabeth: --- wuhhhh....

Felicity: *whispering in her ear* You were saying?

Elizabeth: O, I very hate you, Lissie. *rests her head back in Felicity's lap with a contented smile as Felicity gently caresses her cheek*

*Loud squealing is heard, along with what sounds rather like a very wet explosion*

*Melody runs in*

Melody: Guys, Josefina was using the blender and now there's gauc all over the ceiling again!
