the woman that stood before the commander was one that had experienced things that were beyond Paylor’s NIGHTMARES. Johanna Mason had seen death and turned it away. there was a sense of respect for her, she stood for her beliefs, stronger that most would. although the doctors refused to let her come to the battlefield with the rest, Paylor still wished to see the girl and tell her of the disappointment.

The words were of annoyance but mostly of tease as he was about to pull out a lecture just to aggravate his dear friend Johanna Mason. Quickly turning his headto the girl a bright smile on his lips, eye lashes battering like he was some little girl trying to act all cute to get her way. But instead of pulling that lecture out of his ass, he decided to do something very DEVILISH, and could earn himself a punch to the face--but it was worth all of it, just to say the words he thought of. Because the Capitol Darling was---an ASSHOLE.

His sleeves are rolled up, jacket placed delicately on the chair behind him. Two Peacekeepers stood at the door, silent, hands placed in front of their bodies, pistols at their side. This ( foolish ) girl was of no threat to him and the thought of one of the god-like victors at his disposal left him with a joyful feeling in the pit of his stomach. Even if it was not Katniss Everdeen, the one that so many crazed rebels thought was their spark, this TRAITOR was close enough for now.

It was in the middle of the night and Annie was sound asleep, when she felt something cold press to her chest, ever so gently. It took her a few moments to free her mind from the daze of slumber, the fog only lifting slowly. Then she opened an eye and looked at Johanna, who was laying next to her on the side of the bed, which once, not so long ago, had belonged to Finn. Jo kept her company sometimes, when she knew that Annie was struggling, and it somehow comforted them both. “It’s okay, Jo. I’m okay”, Annie whispered, smiling at her in the darkness of the room, her sea green eyes warm, as she placed her hand atop of Johanna’s.

It was very hard to annoy someone like Annie Cresta, who was basically the friendliest person on the planet. But Johanna had a way of always acting like a hyperactive five year old, when she really wanted something. “Johannah, will you please stop tugging on my dress? You can’t eat the wedding cake before the actual wedding!”

Traumas went deeper than just a few cuts, maybe a blow to the head. Traumas were more than being starved and beaten, treated like less than human, alive only because of what you are worth to others. Real traumas aren’t cured with a bandaid or a few stitches and a few flowery words, and he knew that all too well.
His first week of therapy he was told he would feel better when he got it all out, when he told them what had happened, as if just talking about it would return to him all he had lost, return to him the life he had forfeited. There were few who understood this, even fewer who survived to tell the tale. He Jo, and Annie were a few. They had survived horrifying things only to be released to a world of death and fighting. Their innocences stripped away long ago. In each other was they only place they could think to find any sort of real understanding and even this was limited in of itself.
Jo visited often, Annie being too busy rebuilding her own life with her soon, he had visited them when he first left the capitol but he was trying to work on his own memories and seeing Finnick’s son sometimes confused him. It was she who he was waiting for, blunt and honest Jo. She and he were always honest with each other, no reason not to be, they had seen the worse of each other after all.
