The past few years have shown me that tv shows either need extremely limited runs (e.g. Fellow Travellers) or to just keep going forever, eventually tapering off into infrequent but lovingly made films (e.g. Psych). None of this Stranger Things, Good Omens, The Boys bullshit. Plan for longevity or end it early. Make your show serialised to an extent, or give it a few good seasons and an ending that you planned from the start.
