Week 1 for the #FelwoodFF2020 âs art fight: Falling Into Spirit
ITâS FALL TIME!! Seaandraâs kicking into gear for October for the Felwood Fright Festivalâs first prompt: Falling into Spirit!
Itâs her favorite time of year, sheâs INCREDIBLY happy with her haul!
This is the final prompt week of the Felwood Fright Festivalâs 2020 art fight, and the theme this week was the Monster Mashâa big olâ party and all the trappings thereof. And like, itâs not an October party without costumes, right?
I was originally going to try and make it a dress-up game sort of deal, but when I went to go look up how to actually do that, my brain basically melted and hard Noped⢠out, lmao. Taking the assets Iâd made prior to that point and turning them into a sort of vintage paper doll deal works too, even if it does make it harder for anybody (but me) to actually play dress-up with them!
(It also meant that I didnât make as many costumes as I was originally planning, nor as many charactersâI had three guys sketched out and ready to go before I decided I really ought to make sure I could make things happen first, heh.)
[ID:Â A warm-toned scene of a gaunt man with ashen skin and dark blond hair sitting in profile against a tree, one hand upraised to catch a falling leaf. He wears a purple scarf and an orange sweater with the sleeves rolled up, along with loose dark green pants and matching lace-up boots and bracers. The sun sets over the water in the distance.]

Week 4 of the #FelwoodFF2020 art fight: Monster Mash
My wrist died before I could color it.
#FelwoodFF2020 week 3: Witching Hour
Week 2 for the #FelwoodFF2020 âs art fight: Harvest CraftsÂ
Itâs the spookiest time of year, but what are the biggest, scariest spooksters of the Felwood Fright Festival doing looking so wigged out? Who knows... who knows...
Week Three: The Witching Hour was two weeks ago, but my first attempt at the prompt wasnât coming out too well and then the file got eaten in a Photoshop crash (mid-save). This week is make-up week and while the only things in common with my original screenshot-submission and this one is the general idea and the colour scheme, Iâm still happy with the result. Itâs my first finished attempt at using gradient maps, and obviously I have a lot of work and refining to do for future experiments, but the mood I wanted seems to be getting across, so Iâm happy enough with that, lol.
It does make some colours (that are very similar to each other, to be fair) look like theyâre all the same though, I gotta admit that.
