“Psst… hey. Psssst…! I know you’re awake!”

“I’m sleeping, hush, Luciel.”

“You’re no fun, come on! Everyone else is sleeping, it’s the perfect time to gossip!”

You sighed, rolling over to look at her, lifting the covers in slight. “Or we could just sleep, since it’s three in the morning.”

“Pass,” she said flatly. “We always do that! Plus, I’m not tired.”

Rubbing the sleep from your eyes, you stifled a yawn. “Fine, what do you want to talk about?”

“What about we talk about…” she giggled. “Our crushes?”

“Oh my gosh, Seven, you could’ve done that when we were playing truth or dare,” you grumbled, scrubbing your hands over your face tiredly.

“Well yeah, but it’s more fun doing it like this!” She rolled onto her stomach, looking at you from over where her cheek was firmly squished against her palm. “So~ who’s the cutest in the group? It’s me, isn’t it?”

You closed your eyes, laying back comfortably. “Yeah, yeah, of course it’s you.”

“So does that mean you have a crush on me?” She shifted closer, batting her lashes at you when your eyes shot open.

“Yep, totally and utterly in love,” you replied sarcastically, yawning and turning with your back facing her. “I’m so madly in love with you, I just have no idea what to do with myself.”

She suddenly sat up a bit, resting her chin on your shoulder while looking at you from above. “Why didn’t you say so earlier? I’m totally in love with you too!”

You snorted a laugh, pushing her over onto her back. “Yeah, we’ll get married in a space station and have lots of cat babies. Now let me sleep.”

“But you can’t sleep now, not with so many plans for our future—“

Before she could finish, a pillow hit her in the head. “Can you two shut up? It may not be between eleven and two, but I still need my beauty sleep! Talk about your stupid fur babies tomorrow!”

“Sorry Zen, you’re beautiful either way though,” you lowered your voice, snickering under your breath.

“I know!” He called back, reaching over to grab the pillow again. “Now go to sleep!”

“Hear that Seven? We should go to sleep.” You rolled onto your side, facing Yoosung instead, who was awkwardly sprawled out but sleeping peacefully nonetheless. “Good night!”

“Nighty-night, my love~!”

You felt your heart flutter a little in your chest at her words, despite her playful tone; you really were telling the truth about being in love with her, after all. Just hiding it under false sarcasm.

Hopefully she didn’t notice the way your heartbeat sped up at her accidental touches throughout the night…
