And Sherlock is in the kitchen in her pjs, getting huffy/annoyed bc her beautiful, crazy hair is pulled back in a messy bun but pieces keep falling in her face and she’s trying to work on an experiment and is too engrossed in it to deal w her hair

And Joan just comes behind her, braids her hair nice and proper (bc she was in the military so she’d probably be good at doing proper braids and buns and everything) and gives her a cute lil kiss on her head before going back to her book

Dr Johanna H. Watson. Sherlock thought she had her figured out as soon as she limped into the lab at St. Barts, but she could not have been more wrong. John - because she will glare at you if you call her Johanna - is a mystery, a marvel and a contradiction. And it’s glorious. 

And when John pushes her up against the kitchen counter and grabs her face to slam their lips together, Sherlock feels like flying. John is soft and hard underneath her hand, Her curves are tantalising, her muscles are intoxicating. For all her harshness and toughness, she is so soft when they’re alone in their bed, cuddling and stroking and smiling. Sherlock loves John’s sweetness as well as her temper. She is fire and ice, sun and moon and Sherlock loves her.
