Your boyfriend Cole was tense, fists clenching and unclenching while he watched you from his spot on your bed. Your non-chalant act was pissing him off beyond belief but he knew it was just that, an act. He knew you often played ‘ice queen’ when the pair of you were arguing. Especially when you either knew you were in the wrong but were too stubborn to admit it, or when you just simply wouldn’t budge, compromise or apologise. Being the bigger person simply didn’t exist to you. Not when the topic of disagreement was other girls.

“You’re being ridiculous, {{user}}.”, he grits, watching your eyes roll in the reflection of the vanity mirror. “Ruby’s my tutor, I can’t stop seeing her. You know I need to get my grades up if I want a chance at college.”

Your grip on your make up brush tightens, you take a deep breath trying to keep your frustration and temper in check. You hated Cole being around Ruby, especially the two of them being alone together. It was no secret that she wanted him, as most girls did. But she was always doing things to get on your nerves, to make you jealous. She was always trying to steal him away.

Cole always reminded you that it was you he was with, that he loved you and you could trust him. But that did little to soothe you. After all it wasn’t him you were most worried about. “Well I don’t see why Ruby has to be the one to tutor you. She just wants to get in your pants.”, You hiss, voice dripping with disdain as you say her name. You were getting angry just thinking about it. The amount of times you’d almost thrown hands with her was too many to count with both hands.

Cole’s scoff is immediate. He would have reassured you that that was not going to happen, if this wasn't the millionth time you’ve had this argument. “She offered to help because she knows I need it. And she’s good at it, I’m actually getting better. Plus I don’t exactly see anyone else willing to tutor me out of the kindness of their heart.”

This was wrong, you knew it. You both knew it.

That didn’t stop nights like last night from happening over and over again. A simple text, that all too familiar look or him simply showing up at your apartment was all it took for the pair of you to be tangled in sheets, skin laced with sweat and remnants of one another left behind with reckless abandon that only took over when all either one of you could think about was being utterly consumed by the other.

You turn your gaze downwards and your suspicions are confirmed, a large arm draped across your middle.

Though your memories from last night hadn’t come back yet, they didn't need to for you to recognise who the arm belonged to. The tattoo decorating his upper forearm was all it took for you to know the man beside you was none other than your coworker and friend, Buck.

You finally brave a look at him, internally bracing yourself. Beside you he was lying on his stomach, face smooshed into the pillow facing the other direction. You listen to the small slow breaths falling from his lips, still deep asleep.

The sheets pooled at his lower back, golden rays of sunlight highlighting his muscular form. You couldn’t help but stare, anyone would. With both of you bare beneath the sheets it wasn’t a mystery what had taken place after you’d abandoned the rest of your colleagues at the bar.

It shouldn’t come as a shock that something like last night happened between the two of you. The attraction had been obvious for sometime now, at least on your end. Turns out it took a copious amount of alcohol and what some would call poor decisions to get you here.

“Would you two quit it already?!”, you snap, the two boys instantly pausing their playful actions and sheepishly focusing back onto you. For the last hour you’d been trying to help them study while doing your own and it was proving near impossible.

“Sorry.”, Dylan mutters quietly, arms folding over one another on the table as he looks down guiltily like a told off toddler. Cole shared a similar expression, though slightly more amused.

 “Can’t we take a break?”, Cole asks with his usual smirk, leaning closer to you with pleading eyes. The question alone makes you want to bang your textbook against your head. Your frustration was mounting by the minute. No matter how hard you tried to get the pair of boys to focus they couldn’t keep their attention on learning, instead turning to throwing things at each other, yapping non-stop and pretty much doing anything but work.

“You can’t take a break if you haven’t actually been doing anything for the past hour!”, Your arms motion to the sprawled out textbooks on the table and their near empty notebooks. You felt stupid for thinking this could actually work this time. You’d had some hope that this time would be different since both your friends had been complaining about how badly they needed their grades up but clearly they weren’t so desperate to fix them after all.

Cole bristles at your words and Dylan scratches the back of his neck. They knew you were fed up with them and were probably very close to giving up and leaving. You couldn’t even get your own studying down with them being a constant distraction. 

“Alright, alright. We’ll focus. Promise.”, Dylan says, trying to get back on your good side. He picks up his pen again and drags his textbook closer, eyes flicking up to you to gather your reaction.

Cole isn’t so happy about having to stay sitting at the table for what could be another hour but nonetheless he opens his textbook. He rests his chin on his hand, staring down at the open book with displeasure.

As the night neared an end, at least for you, you’d drunkenly dialed your boyfriend, Danny, to come pick you up. You stayed on the call with him as he drove through the streets of LA to get you, Danny on the other line continuing to make sure you were okay. He’d wanted you to stay inside your friend's house until he arrived but of course drunk you was even more stubborn than sober you. While you stumbled on the sidewalk, phone clutched tightly in one hand and bag in the other, Danny was multitasking, both driving and vlogging. He wasn’t alone in the car of course, his cameraman behind the camera, filming Danny and the others. Kewon and Zain in the backseat. “Dannyyyy, where are you?”, you whine, voice coming through the car speakers. Danny can’t help the grin that tugs at his lips at the sound of your drunk whining. “I’m coming. We’re almost there”, he answers before looking towards the camera, amused. “She’s so wasted.”, he chuckles, shaking his head before going back to watching the road and talking to you. “Damn, it’s dark out here.”, Danny says looking out the window at the dark residential streets. He was getting closer, everyone in the car keeping a watchful eye out for you. “How do you think I feel?”, you huff, Danny can imagine the pout currently on your face. The boys laugh, so does your boyfriend despite knowing you’re going to be a handful. A short silence from you follows before you speak up again, “Hurry up, before I get taken by… racoons or something.” A chorus of laughs echo through the car, your brows furrowing on the other end of the line, just registering that Danny might not be alone. The revelation not coming as a shock. “Bro.”, Zain laughs, hand running over his face at your antics. “Not coyotes. Not like LA weirdos. Raccoons,” Kewon adds, camera panned to him before back to Danny. “Raccoons are wild out here, dude.” Danny replies with mock seriousness, eyes back on the road. Finally he spots you, stumbling around on the sidewalk. “There she is.”, he announces, pulling the car into an empty parking space.
