New Fem LuLaw fic: Kissing the Priestess
Written for my baby @lutorao. Happy birthday, Cherry!
Summary:
AU: Royalty Fantasy. LuLaw: 27-year-old Fem Knight Luffy x 34-year-old Fem Spellcaster Law. NSFW: Oral sex between dumb virgins The war between the Kingdom of Spade and the Kingdom of Heart is over after 13 long years. The two newly crowned kings, Ace and Rosinante, want peace. To guarantee that peace, a royal marriage needs to happen. The candidates in question, Knight Monkey D Luffy and High Priestess Trafalgar Law, have been enemies ever since the first day they saw each other, yet something about their cat-and-mouse chase makes the two kings want to push for this union. So find out how these thirteen-long years of rivalry comes to an end.
The thirteen long years of war between the Kingdom of Spade and the Kingdom of Heart finally came to an end. A war started by the previous tyrants ended when their respective heirs took the throne by force and immediately focused on healing their broken kingdoms.
The hurting and grieving population welcomed the end of the war, and the soldiers who had been toiling on the frontline for more than a decade returned to their families. Broken and battered, both Kingdoms vowed to do better.
After a mourning period of thirteen months, both newly crowned kings arrived in the little city of Water 7 with their entourage. This was the city where the conflict had first broken out over the dispute of boundaries, and its most important resource: salt. The lively town was neatly divided between populations from both kingdoms, and they were fine with the way things were, but the former tyrants of both kingdoms didn’t like sharing, especially profit! Thanks to their inflated pride, cities and lives were brought to nought, and decades of peaceful living were undone.
King Ace and King Rosinante met in the middle of everything possible: land, water, resources, and peace. Their trusted people drew up the treaty. For King Ace, it was his second half-brother, Prince Sabo, who served as the chief of staff and advisor. For King Rosinante, it was his firstborn daughter, Trafalgar D Water Law, the High Priestess of the Sun Temple, who acted as the advisor.
Together, the two kings ended the mourning period by exchanging bottles of wine, breaking bread and sprinkling Water 7’s precious salt on it. The era of peace began when the basket of bread was passed around.
Both Kings apologized to the population that had returned to their city after thirteen years of wandering, only to find the devastation the war had left. Thirteen months were not enough to undo the thirteen years of damage done to the minds, bodies and livelihoods, but the apology was a start.
Sometimes all an aching population needed was a sincere sorry.
The grand banquet was held to celebrate the era of peace that began after the two kings signed their papers and clinked their golden goblets, brimming with wine. The doors to the half-restored castle of the governor were open to all. People came and went, and food was being prepared by the King Ace’s consort, Sanji, who had promised to feed every person in the city until there were no hungry left. And he was being helped by King Rosinante’s magic-wielding aides.
While the royal kitchen cooked and served, the two kings sat down to discuss what was next.
All important negotiations regarding trade, agriculture, magical tools, and taxes were done and dusted; only one matter was left. Both sides needed a guarantee that neither of the kingdoms would betray the other.
The Spade Kingdom didn’t have the magic users or tradition of learning magic as a craft, despite worshipping the same Sun God as the other kingdom. What made Spade a threat was that it had a strong military and a population that didn’t fear magic at all.
Kingdom of Heart, on the other hand, had magic! They had mines which produced gems and jewels, which made use of magic, a steady and thriving career. The Spades boasted of an elite army of spellcasters.
If either party decided to use their strength again, the next war would last for another thirteen years or more, and no one wanted that.
And such a guarantee of peace could be assured by only one thing: a royal matrimony.
“I am sorry,” King Rosinante, drunk and giddy, apologized to the younger King Ace, who, too, was drunk but pretended to be fine because his pride as a young king was on the line. “I am too old to tie myself into another marriage. I have three adult daughters. So I cannot accept your aunt Shakky’s hand in marriage. She is a beautiful woman, but I am loyal to my dead wife.”
King Ace nodded; he understood. If his one and only precious husband died, he would join him in the grave. “Well, I am already married to Sanji, and my brother Sabo has been spoken for, so we cannot ask for the hands of your lovely daughters for my brother either.”
King Rosinante smiled and looked around. “What about your most precious pearl?” The tall blonde man pointed at King Ace’s little sister standing straight in a corner decked in her Royal Knight’s Armoured Suit. Except for her helmet, she was wearing everything. Her little head popped out like a porcelain doll’s from that buff armour. It was comical to look at.
“I told her to wear her best attire,” King Ace shook his ravenhead and laughed, “She wore her armour.”
