SACRED SLUT . @jessicajeanmuir brought up this archetype during #fembodiment and I’ve been sitting with her for a while now. . Growing up I knew what felt good in my body and went after it, I explored and was inquisitive. . As I got older I felt that part of myself that explored her sexuality, that went after what she wanted in life unapologetically judged, shamed and thus tamed. . I remember in high school having it thrown up in my face, I remember the feeling of my actions being weaponized against me. . I quickly learned the status quote and instead of standing up to it became part of the problem. I picked up those same weapons and turned them against other women. . That’s how the system worst they slut shame us until we learn the rules and then we become the slut shamers ourselves. . What if we chose for that system to stop here? . What if we chose to unlearn it? . Why might society not want women claiming their sacred slut energy? . The sacred slut knows she is deserving of having her needs met. She makes sure that happens. . She wants more and is open to receiving it. . She knows she is worthy of occupying space and does so unapologetically. . After reading that out loud it seems abundantly clear to my why society would want to quell that energy and why you my loves should embrace it. .
