Hello love!! Is it possible to get something soft fluff of Ferdinand and Byleth with their baby? Like maybe they were recently born so just soft domestic fluff of being new parents if that’s okay? If not; it’s totally fine! I hope you have a great day!!
(Umnmm of course i can!!!)
“He’s so…weak.”
Ferdinand nearly spit his tea. You were lying on the floor of his office, a nice soft baby blanket sprawled out so that you could watch over the ginger newborn wiggling and squirming in place.
He lay flat on his back, staring up at nothing in particular, and completely unaware of his mother’s rather crude observation.
“Well, yes, Byleth. He’s a baby. I’m afraid he can’t do very much.” He managed his response, dabbing the corner of his mouth with a handkerchief. It seemed his fluster went unnoticed. Then again, you were utterly enraptured by the little one.
“Is it okay for him to be so weak? There isn’t any magic or…baby armor? Weapons? Something we can give him to defend himself?”
“Darling, even if he could lift a weapon, I can assure you he wouldn’t be able to use it. Babies his age can’t even lift their heads on their own.”
“But what if we’re not home, and he’s attacked?”
“That’s what guards are for.”
“But what if they break through their defenses?”
“That won’t happen.”
“But he-”
“Darling…” Ferdinand quietly set his teacup down, standing from his desk to join you. Quietly he sat down beside you, a knowing smile on his lips. “You’re worried about him, aren’t you?”
“Aren’t you?” You looked away, sheepish, focusing your attention on the pudgy little limbs that were swaying in the air.
“I worry about him as much as any parent would, I think.” He replied calmly, catching a pink hand in his.
The baby gurgled in response, searching blindly for what might have stopped his movements. It did warm his heart, so.
“But we are living in times of peace, now…and he is a very healthy little boy. I think we shouldn’t worry about him needing to train at such a small age. He has a few years ahead of him before that.”
“A few years?” You repeated with disdain, “But he’s so small… It seems like the slightest thing could hurt him, or worse…”
“You do have to be careful with babies, it’s true.” He hummed, “They are fragile, but that is a good thing. It means that we must spend as much time as possible with them, so that we make sure they are growing healthy and strong.”
“I don’t mind the idea of always being nearby.” You slowly pulled yourself up so you could sit against him, resting your head on his chest. The two of you gazed at the child for a long moment, a soft smile on his parent’s lips while he wriggled.
“And even if we have to be away for whatever reason, I will ensure he is safe and well tended. No harm shall befall him, even if he is a fragile little pup for a while.”
“...You’re sure there aren’t any charms or talismans we can tie to his ankle for protection?”
Ferdinand kissed your cheek, trying not to laugh. “I’m afraid not, dear. If it worries you this much, though, I’m sure we can arrange to work from the manor until he’s able to hold his own.”
“Really?” Your eyes sparkled, relief washing over you. Ferdinand chuckled. Perhaps you really were terribly worried.
He traced your cheek with a handsome finger, “Of course. Anything for you. And you,” He added, releasing the baby’s hand to pet his soft ginger hair.
It thrilled Ferdinand that the boy looked so much like him. The blue eyes certainly had nothing to do with him, but…that was all right.
He was quite proud of having a child that mixed perfectly between the two of you. Even if he was, as you called him, “weak”.
Considering who his mother was, he didn’t doubt the child would grow up to be a proper fighting beast.
Shitpost from last night. Lorenz wants to help a friend, Ferdinand Von Aegir is just a lovable idiot as usual.

Ferdinand was practically glowing from head to toe when he awoke that morning. Your marriage had been a glorious event, the wedding day a whirlwind of joy and laughter, friends and family all gathered to celebrate with you.
Your betrothed, Ferdinand von Aegir, was floored to have even become your husband, and he made sure to prove it the moment you returned to the honeymoon suite, that evening.
Ferdinand was practically grinning from ear to ear, giddy with how wonderful the night before had been. This was your first official day as husband and wife, and there were many fun activities planed for the day.
More importantly, though, he was spending it arm in arm with you. He could hardly wait. At least, that’s what he thought…but then he found that his wife was not beside him in bed, let alone in the room altogether. A perplexing predicament, indeed.
“Byleth?” He called for you, searching the room for you. “Where are you, my love?”
He stretched, a satisfied hum escaping him as he rose from the bed. A handsome white sheet was tied about his waist, ast the very least so as not to frighten his bride with a startling nude view first thing in the morning.
“I’m, ah…in here.”
He paused, hearing your voice from the washroom. He smiled softly, crossing the room to join you, though he opened the door to find you sitting along the edge of the wbasin, trying to slowly ease yourself in with very little success. You looked to be quite strained.
“If you wished to bathe with me this morning, you should have woken me up first. I could have drawn a lovely one for the two of us.” He mused, stepping into the washroom and sliding the door shut behind him.
Your grimace didn’t change, though, instead it seemed to deepen. You looked up at your new husband, which translated to a worrying expression.
“I didn’t want…I just needed to soak in some hot water for a while.” You broke your gaze from his when he stepped closer, a blush rising on your cheeks. “My legs are very sore. I was having trouble…erm, you know. Walking.”
“Your legs are-”
In the two seconds in took Ferdinand to piece together what you were trying to say, a hot blush had darkened his cheeks all the way down to his chest.
“Y-you can’t walk??”
“My legs hurt a lot.” You managed to say again, “I wanted to ease into the bath, but it’s a lot harder when I can’t really…”
“Oh, dear- my word, this is my fault, isn’t it?” He gasped, the melodrama bubbling up instantaneously. “Forgive me, Byleth! I was far too invigorated by our wedding day, I should have been far more gentle with you on our first night! To think I allowed such harm to befall you- you must think me a monster, and I would not be able to disagree!”
“I-it’s…it’s all right. Could you just, um, help me a little bit?” You asked shyly. Your poor husband let the guilt fade long enough to do what you asked of him, quickly taking you up in his arms so he could lower you into the basin. You sighed in relief as soon as you sank into the water, leaning back against the porcelain tub. “...Much better.”
“Byleth, if there is anything you need, anything at all, do not hesitate to ask it of me immediately!” He knelt beside the tub, taking your hand in his. You found a terribly guilty expression on his face. Poor Ferdinand appeared to be on the edge of tears, his flushed cheeks practically alight with blush.
You squeezed his hand, fighting your own embarrassment. “Don’t be upset, please…it’s not your fault. I didn’t tell you to stop, after all. I didn’t want you to.”
“Was I hurting you while we were…?’”
“No, not at all. You were a perfect gentleman.” You promised him, kissing his fingertips. “It’s truly just sore muscles, and nothing else. I think we just got a little carried away last night. And I promise you, I enjoyed every second.”
Ferdinand peeked at you, his hand trembling just slightly over yours. “Are you certain, my love?”
“Of course. If there was ever a moment of discomfort or I needed it to stop, I would tell you. And I know that you would stop at a moment’s notice, too.”
“Without hesitation!” He assured you, reaching up to stroke your hair. “So, please, allow me to make up for my overindulgence. Even if you did not ask me to stop, I wish to make it up to you. Anything you wish for me to do with you today, name it and it is yours.”
“Well…” You smiled at him, a little glimmer of mischief in your eyes. “If you insist on it…what do you think about joining me in the bath this morning?”
“Right now?”
“I am in the water at the moment.”
“I-I mean, that is…if you’re sure you want to…then I would be more than happy to oblige you, my darling.” He managed to eek out, and you nodded. You released his hand so that he might be able to strip away his sheet (you would have preferred to see him naked, regardless).
Carefully you eased forward to allow him to join you, and nervously he slipped into the water behind you.
He was a little more awkward and rigid than the graceful duke would ever openly admit, but you eased away his anxietiies swiftly. Leaning back against his chest, you settled into him, finding his hand in the water and linking them together.
“Thank you for indulging me,” You hummed, tilting your head up to meet his bashful gaze. Ferdinand kissed the top of your head, settling his arm around your waist and drawing you closer to him.
The two of you lingered in the water for far longer than was prudent, but neither of you minded. The schedule for the day would have to be forgone anyways, seeing as you weren’t going anywhere, anytime soon. The two of you opted to laze about for the day instead, simply enjoying each other’s presence. It was a perfect start to your marriage…even if you were still a bit sore.
