To HONOR Naru, Katie would create SWIMMER LEGS
Katie makes them shortly after gifting Naru his prosthetic tail, so that they can match and swim together—since Katie isn’t a strong swimmer herself. They were speckled, once upon a time, but that paint wore off long ago. They’re essential wear whenever they visit water worlds together.

of course i want!! hollyyyy you’re SUCH a lovely human being!! you have some amazing ocs that speak to your incredible creativity. i mean??? the alien species you create? amazing. i’m always in AWE of how much work you’ve put into creating these races with their own histories, customs, culture ― everything. i was always impressed with it back when it was galra subspecies with haxus, and it’s only gotten COOLER since you’ve detoured into entirely new species for your original characters. like?? i have a hard enough time creating human ocs, i can’t imagine how you come up with all of this information for races you’ve made yourself! it’s so awesome and even if i don’t catch everything, i do read the info & headcanons you post whenever i see them. i love naru ― hell, i love all the ocs and muses of yours i’ve followed, and i’m just SO GLAD we’re still in contact & writing after all these years. you’re amazing & never believe otherwise!! ♡♡♡

“Brightleaf Apothecary, huh...?”
Irina stood before the shop, contemplating for a moment before heading inside. The inside smelled nice; floral and pleasant. It looked like the owner of the shop had a selection of teas, as well as an assortment of other medicinal items.
Not that a vampire really had any use for any of those things, but Irina often ate for leisure, and she liked to try new things.
A quick glance around found no one, but her hearing picked up movement nearby.
“Hello?” she called out, “is anyone there?”

(Belost): Personal strength is the best feature he’s attracted to. Belost is a traditional galra and so he loves power, strength, or even just competence in a role. The challenge comes in with him having high standards in that regard, so if they show interest back then to him it’s almost a sort of validation that he is at least at that level. Funny enough as submissive as that sounds Belost actually leans much more heavily on the dominant side of things. So maybe it’s also a natural want to find power so he can come out on top of it? Who knows. I’m no psychologist. All I know is that it’s the most attractive feature to him (and he is very broad with how he sees it).
The second most attractive is a nice pair of legs.
(Theron): This guy’s a bit harder to pin down since it’s rare to think of him outside of a situation with his wife, Sulfa. But in a vacuum I’d say Theron is most attracted to a well proportioned figure. It’s a bit abstract but Theron is quite the calculating guy so I feel it’s also appropriate for him to have a strangely specific attraction. Are a galra’s ears well proportioned to their head? Do their arms seem the right length for how tall they are? He doesn’t think about it that way but it’s more of an inherent thing. Theron’s also a man of very high standards so it feels fitting enough to me.
It just so happened that his wife ended up nailing that particular look and ended up having a personality that clicked just right with his.
(Silixus): There is little in particular that Silixus finds especially attractive. It’s not to say that he doesn’t find things attractive just that he doesn’t seem to have many preferences one way or the other. It may just be a side effect of the cybernetic implant in his brain. Or it might also be a bit of desperation. Most of the people who would be interested in a giant cybernetic galra also don’t tend to make high enough rank to be accessible to him.
If there were anything in particular, though? Kindness wouldn’t hurt.
(Sterad): Simplicity. Sterad has worked almost his entire career among the Empire’s elite and is bored to death with people who try to pile on niceties to make themselves seem better than they are. He knows value doesn’t come from complexities or status- he grew up about as poor and country as possible after all.
If he sees somebody who is comfortable without many frills and might even be considered a little plain then he is much more interested.
(Rethan): This guy right here is much less deep than the others. He never got passed the door kicker mindset of “fuck anybody who looks good” even once he got out of the Empire. Rethan’s not really picky enough to have much of a preference beyond “look nice.”
(Karn): Fighters are his thing. I don’t mean people who fight him but people who fight in general. Or at least look like they could. Girls with some muscle? Definitely. Big guys? Sure thing, as long as they don’t assume they’ll be on top.
Just make sure you have a relatively clean record. The Provost Marshal of the Enforcers can’t exactly afford to be seen getting interested with convicted criminals.

(Belost): Oh yeah. He’ll initiate no problem. Any time. Any where. You might have a little trouble controlling this boy once you’ve gotten to know him long enough.
(Theron): Initiating is definitely something he’d do. But he might need his partner to if he is particularly busy. Theron pulls double and sometimes triple duty between managing the fleet, Merrick Prime’s defenses, and managing Merrick Prime’s politics. He might need somebody to pull him aside and start things or else he’ll never quit working.
(Silixus): Waiting for his partner is really the most Silixus thing to do. He is polite to a fault and might consider propositioning somebody to be rude even if they genuinely seem into him.
(Sterad): He’s got patience in droves when it comes to his profession. And very little when it comes to people. There’s no way Sterad is ever waiting for somebody else to initiate.
(Rethan): Big bold Rethan. He initiates almost every single time.
(Karn): Karn is a bit of a mix. Given his position as leader of the Enforcers he has to take consent to almost an extreme to prevent rumors or accusations. Karn very seriously believes that people’s faith in him depends on a spotless record. So while he initiates it may take him long enough to a point that his partner has already gone ahead and done it themselves.

She has been surveying the Niakanun’s flora selections for a while. For a literal pop-up shop, the variety here was impressive. Katie’s had her share of botany shoved down her throat (Courtesy of a mother desperate for someone to take up the biological-side of the family trade), but she couldn’t even classify any of these samples.
Was that purple thing part of a flower? Was this musky stuff a type of algae? Who knew—certainly not her.
Now, truthfully speaking, stumping her botany know-how wasn’t that hard. Katie had been an unwilling and begrudging students during those long, long days in the family garden; however, she still felt her absolute unfamiliarity with anything the Niakanun had to offer was a testament to his expertise.
She shoved the musky stuff she had been sniffing at back into the drawer with the rest of the musky stuff, and wiped its residue along the front of her coats. She whirred over to the shop-keep, and while she had to look way up for any chance of eye contact, she still kept a confident stance.
“Hey, you, guy, would you consider yourself an accomplished herbalist?”
