Ferrari Yakin Vettel Bakal Lebih Kuat di F1 2019

Inanews - Teknisi balap Scuderia Ferrari, Jock Clear, yakin Sebastian Vettel bakal menggunakan rasa sakitnya akibat kekalahan di Formula One (F1) 2018 dari Lewis Hamilton sebagai kekuatan untuk menatap musim 2019. Pria asal Inggris itu yakin sang pembalap bakal menuntaskan urusan yang belum kelar dengan rivalnya tersebut. Vettel sebelumnya mengaku merasa sakit dengan kekalahannya atas Lewis Hamilton dalam perburuan gelar juara dunia kelima. Namun, pembalap asal Jerman itu mengaku rasa sakitnya jauh lebih hebat ketika gagal mengamankan titel juara dunia F1 2009 yang disabet oleh Jenson Button.

Clear, yang memiliki segudang pengalaman bekerja sama dengan pembalap top di F1, yakin bahwa Vettel adalah driver level atas. Hal tersebut dapat dibuktikan pada F1 2019 di mana rasa sakit akibat kekalahan akan menjadi tambahan motivasi dalam menatap musim baru bersama Ferrari. “Secara keseluruhan dia menghadapi pertarungan ini dengan kemauan mengambil risiko dan berusaha memberikan segalanya. Kami melakukannya secara bersama-sama melewati momen naik-turun pada musim ini,” tukas Jock Clear, Minggu (11/11/2018). “Dari sudut pandang Seb, saya yakin kekalahan ini akan memberikan tambahan motivasi untuk kembali dengan lebih kuat pada tahun depan dan mengatakan, ‘Urusan kita belum selesai.’ Faktanya, pembalap seperti dia selalu bisa mengatasi tekanan,” imbuh pria berusia 55 tahun asal Inggris itu.

Untuk saat ini, Vettel masih harus menuntaskan misi membawa Ferrari meraih gelar juara dunia konstruktor 2018. Walau kecil, tim pabrikan asal Italia itu masih punya peluang untuk mematahkan dominasi Mercedes sejak 2014 di kategori konstruktor. Read the full article
