How Oliver will learn to fly a plane | Arrow Speculations
We know for episode 2x23 that Oliver knows how to pilot a plane. And we have seen him doing it on S3…
Since there has been lots of references to Ferris Air in the series I kind of assumed there was someone related to them that was going to teach Oliver flight I plane…
Now, after seeing almost half of the episodes of this season, I am suspecting Oliver will learn to flight the hard way!
I think these little scenes with Anatoly featuring him teaching Oliver a few things are foreshadowing this upcoming development:
- Teaching him about trust
- Bomb-making lessons
- How to dislocate your thumbs
- How to disguise yourself as a drunk
Maybe Anatoly will teach Oliver how to fly the hard way… What about during his last flight to Lian yu?
I love Anatoly. He is a great teacher!

Wow! I do a lot of work at that airstrip and have been there on and off this past week. I must have just missed him. It would have been cool to have met the missing pilot or to have seen the weird lights, aliens or not, though I guess I wasn't lucky enough this time. Also, have you heard if Ferris Air is going to start using the air strip now that the pilot's been found? STAR Labs has found it a great place to do outdoor experiments. -Cisco
Considering you’ve assisted the CCPD in dealing with Snart’s cold gun and have consulted on the metahuman task force, I’d say you’ve been lucky enough to see a lot of strange things. Still, having it happen so close and yet still miss it, I understand the disappointment.
Ferris Air has not released a statement regarding the what they are planning to do with the old airstrip now that the pilot has returned. However, looking into its closing, it appears that Ferris Air had also been fighting with the Gem Cities on the issue of noise pollution from the flights there, and the company’s new airstrip is in a far more secluded area. The company might have seen Hal Jordan’s disappearance as a good time time to make a move they had already been planning.
That doesn’t necessarily mean that they won’t decide to restore the landing strip, but you’ll probably be safe for now.
